Title: Sea Biscuit Post by: LearnedOne on January 04, 2004, 08:37:21 PM I finally watched the new DVD for rental called Sea Biscuit.
It was such a beautifully inspirational movie. Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Whitehorse on January 04, 2004, 11:16:06 PM Hi, Learned One. Welcome to Christians Unite.
I saw the film. too. It was very nice; I liked the metaphors. And of course, Seabiscuit. BTW, I must admit I'm intrigued by your screen name. Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Symphony on January 04, 2004, 11:38:36 PM ;D Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Tibby on January 05, 2004, 02:56:18 AM good movie, no doubt.
Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: The Crusader on January 05, 2004, 05:41:35 AM good movie, no doubt. I bought the DVD, and this is a first, I agree with Tibby. Real Good Movie The Crusader Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Tibby on January 05, 2004, 03:13:44 PM Yeah, this marks the first time you are right about something, then ;D ;D ;D
Oh, btw, I still think you're a troll ;) Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: sincereheart on January 15, 2004, 07:38:18 AM Is it a family movie? ??? Would it be appropriate for all ages?
I haven't seen it and I don't like horse movies but if it's something the whole family can watch, I'll survive... :-X Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Tibby on January 15, 2004, 10:56:39 AM Yes, it is a good family flick. And hte first horse movie I haven't fallen asleep too.
Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: sincereheart on January 16, 2004, 06:24:22 PM *sigh* I s'pose I'll have to break down and rent a horse movie. :'(
It better be good, Tibby! >:( ;) Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: JudgeNot on January 16, 2004, 09:09:55 PM Quote ...I don't like horse movies... Amen to that. I never liked horse movies either. Since I grew up on a ranch, we always spelled work; h-o-r-s-e. But there are some animal movies I am particular to. Especially those two with the REAL happy endings; in one the family ended up eating venison for supper, and the other where the family cat lived happily ever after? You know the two I mean – “The Yearling” and “Ol’ Yeller”? Now those were animal movies! :D FYI - to keep with the subject of the thread (so I don’t make anyone’s head explode) - I did “See the Biscuit” – and in all honesty it wasn’t too bad, but I thought it ended too soon, (NO! I don’t mean it was too short!), but then again, maybe I wasn’t tuned in to the ‘chick-flick’ aspect of the whole thing. ::) Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Kris777 on January 16, 2004, 09:26:38 PM I was going to rent it but when my sister saw it she took one look at the name and laughed. I didn't think that I would like it because it's a race horse. But if you guys say it is good maybe then I can talk them into watching it.

ROFL! Actually, I LOVE horses! And I don't mind the w-o-r-k! ;) It's just the movies that bother me! Or maybe it was just 'Black Beauty'.... :-X It was too intense! Or maybe it was 'National Velvet' - it was too.... WAIT! It just may be because I've watched entirely too many horse movies! ;D (so I don’t make anyone’s head explode) Oh please! No more exploding heads! Symphony made such a mess! :P maybe I wasn’t tuned in to the ‘chick-flick’ aspect of the whole thing. Ooh! Does it have chick-flick aspects? :D Now it's sounding better.... I'm just having a hard time visualizing Spidey on a horse~ :P I was going to rent it but when my sister saw it she took one look at the name and laughed. ROFL! Hadn't thought of that! Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: sincereheart on February 03, 2004, 08:08:54 AM Ocean Cookie....
It was ok. Though it wasn't appropriate for all ages... ::) Language and hookers..... :-X Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Symphony on February 03, 2004, 11:48:42 AM Hmmm, sorry 'bout that, sincereheart. I haven't seen it. Did the famiwee watch it? How do you edit b4 it's too late. :-[ :-X Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: sincereheart on February 04, 2004, 05:36:07 AM Yup, Symphony. The WHOLE family!
Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Tibby on February 04, 2004, 07:31:22 PM What kind of language bothered you?
Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: sincereheart on February 04, 2004, 08:12:44 PM The kind I don't want a seven-year old to repeat... ;)
Lots of JC's, couple of d's and Gd's and some s's and well.... those kinds..... Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Symphony on February 04, 2004, 09:34:04 PM :-\ Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Tibby on February 04, 2004, 10:02:26 PM Not THAT bad. Maybe you can watch Pulp Fiction with him to put things into perspective! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: sincereheart on February 05, 2004, 07:42:43 AM Not THAT bad.
Spoken like a teenager who has no children.... ::) But that's okay, lesson learned. If Tibby says it's appropriate for the whole family, you can trust him when: (http://sc.groups.msn.com/tn/47/32/SincereHeart/2/38.jpg) Now what was that verse about he who can be trusted in the little things...?? ::) Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Symphony on February 05, 2004, 11:43:48 AM With today's movies it's easier to ask what language did NOT bother you... :-\ That's good, sincereheart, I like the pigs fly things. Perfect. Yes, Pulp Fiction would definitely make one appreciate the finer things in life. :( Yep, when you have a family, you just can't afford any wrong turns, if you can avoid it. It isn't easy. It isn't easy at all. Even in the BEST of all possible worlds, it's still precarious. That's why we have marriage between a man and a woman(duh......)--it's for the simple sake of the children. They copy everything we say and do--and it's immediate and invisible. God bless you in your homeschooling and in your family, sincereheart... :) Title: Re:Sea Biscuit Post by: Tibby on February 06, 2004, 08:50:11 AM Yes, Pulp Fiction would definitely make one appreciate the finer things in life. :( lol ;D |
