Title: Bless the LORD, O my soul...
Post by: Sower on January 01, 2004, 02:36:56 PM
As we enter this new year, let's resolve to PRAISE [BLESS] THE LORD at all times and under all circumstances, and say with David (Psalm 103):

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me bless His holy name,
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and FORGET NOT ALL HIS BENEFITS:
Who forgiveth ALL thine iniquites; who healeth ALL thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's...
Bless the LORD, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His Word.
Bless ye the LORD, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure.
BLESS THE LORD, ALL HIS WORKS IN ALL PLACES OF HIS DOMINION: BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL!

There is no substitute for praising and worshipping the LORD God Almighty. It is the antidote for trials, tribulations, and troubles, for fear, anxiety, discouragement, loneliness, despair, heartache and sorrow. Paul and Silas sang praises to the Lord while bound and chained in prison, and the Lord caused the prison doors to burst open.  If you are in any kind of "prison" -- physical, emotional, financial, spiritual, or even a real penitentiary, then BLESS THE LORD!
