Amen, Brother! There is no more beautiful a thought than that time in which we will be taken home to be with our Lord and Saviour. Praise God for His wonderful mercies!

Hello Brother David,

That "Some Sweet Day" could be today.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Christian Quotes 131 -
Absolute and flawless perfection!
"One who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from
sinners, exalted above the heavens." Hebrews 7:26
When one sees, so often and so painfully, the shortcomings
and imperfections of the best of people - how far they fall
beneath even their own aspirations - irresolution and
inconsistency, indolence, self-seeking, and vainglory in
some; lack of patience, lack of courtesy, lack of zeal, lack
of love and sympathy in others; in a word, the too evident
traces of fallible and fallen human nature - how it magnifies
the absolute and flawless perfection of the Great Master!
As we all thus mourn, too truly and self-consciously, our
defects and deficiencies, our blots and failures - what a
wonderfully inspiring thought is that given by John, that the
day is coming when perfection shall be attained! "Yes, dear
friends, we are already God's children, and we can't even
imagine what we will be like when Christ returns. But we
do know that when He comes we will be like Him!" 1 John 3:2
 -- John MacDuff  1895

Hello Brother David,

The song was quite beautiful. I don't know for sure what you're trying to say. I'll simply say that I reflect on the beautiful promises of GOD at least every day. None of us knows what will happen between now and morning, but we do know that we belong to GOD, and we are being held in HIS MIGHTY HANDS! Regardless of what happens, that's all I need to know! With any set of circumstances, we will all be HOME with the LORD soon. It really doesn't even matter if we physically die before the RAPTURE - "Absent from the body - present with the LORD! Whatever happens, WE ALREADY HAVE VICTORY IN JESUS!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Favorite Bible Quotes 405 - Psalms 23:1-6 The LORD is my shepherd; I
shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he
leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth
me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I
walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou
preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou
anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and
mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the
house of the LORD for ever.

I've always like that song and have sung it many times, but I do have a problem with some of the words. "If to God you have been true, and you've lived above all sin." While those are important and necessary to have fellowship with God, they are not necessary for our salvation. Jesus said, "Ye must be born again." He didn't say we have to "live above all sin." We are to strive for perfection, but we have to realize that it more than likely won't happen in these sinful bodies. He knows we are sinful creatures by nature, and it takes a lifetime to make us what we should be. That won't be completed until He calls us home. At the Rapture (if we're here at that time) we will receive our glorified bodies, and there will be no more sin for us!
