AMEN! Brother, I'm embarrassed that I didn't mention this. Just about every generation has shed tears, sweat, and blood to secure and preserve our freedoms. I give thanks for them every day. The vast majority of them were motivated by love of GOD and Country. In fact, many gave their very lives for GOD and Country. Some people today would make fun of a statement like this, but it's quite true, and there's nothing funny about it. They have always been the backbone of this country, and they are the remaining backbone of this country now. Title: Re: HAPPY JULY 4TH - INDEPENDENCE DAY 2008 Post by: nChrist on July 05, 2008, 02:38:02 AM Hello Everyone,
It's now the 5th, and we got home pretty late. We spent a beautiful evening on a farm near the thriving metropolis of Blair, Oklahoma. Only a portion of the family could make it this year and most of the children present were young and little. We had a great time together, but I'm sure there will be some worn out grandparents and great-grandparents in the morning. There was only one injury - ME. My big and very strong 1 year-old grandson grabbed my coffee cup. I was trying to keep hot coffee off of the baby and wound up pouring it on myself instead. ;D It was really a classic fumble, and I felt like one of the three stooges. I hope that everyone had a great 4th. I know that I did. We even had some of the little and fairly safe kinds of fireworks for the kids. It really became another special family time to get together and give thanks. Love In Christ, Tom Favorite Bible Quotes 393 - Psalms 139:13-16 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. All the residents were out enjoying their holiday which gave me a nice quiet one here. Turns out I'm pulling a double though. Started at 1pm and I won't get off until 6am! But then I'll be off until Sunday at 2pm. Hey, ..... what else am I gonna do? uh? ;D

You aren't? ;D ;D ;D ;D I spent the day at home with family. We have the twins for the entire weekend but we had the rest of the family for dinner also. After dinner we all sat outside and watched the fireworks at the city park across the street from us. WOW! - I left myself wide open for the three stooges comment. YES - I feel like one of the three stooges pretty frequently. Depending on the circumstances, it could be any one of the three of them, but my favorite is Curley.
