Title: If it is the Lord's will Post by: Annahavil on June 05, 2008, 04:43:08 PM Some clergy stress the importance when we pray to finish our prayer, with if it is your will Lord. What I cannot understand is I have yet to hear any of them putting it into practice. They talk about it but that seem to be as far as they go. When I was told about this I started to think about it. I find it an excellent way to pray and I finish my prayers every night this way. Why do clergy not practice what they preach on this?

I often use the phrase "Thy will be done", because I don't want to sound to the Lord like I'm telling Him what to do. Too much prayer is "Gimme, gimme,gimme", with out so much as a "Thank You, Lord", or "If it be Thy will."
