Title: (The old testament of the bible.) Post by: gr4umpybumpas on May 03, 2008, 11:51:49 AM Having read the old testament of the bible a life time ago i remember it as being the most sinful and evil book ever written about the most sinful and evil people on the face of the earth.
Eaven there God condemned them, are they in need of a new god or a new religion??? Title: Re: (The old testament of the bible.) Post by: Soldier4Christ on May 03, 2008, 01:48:20 PM I am positive that you need to read it again then. If you are a Christian you would know that there is only one God and God of the New Testament is the same as the God of the Old Testament, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and yet they are one. God condemns those that reject Him. Have you accepted Christ as your Saviour?
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Salvation, salvation from death under the law by God's perfect grace. Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Rom 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Rom 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Title: Re: (The old testament of the bible.) Eaven there God condemned them, are they in need of a new god or a new religion??? You have provided a good example of what this evil and dying world has to look forward to in the End Days of this Age of Grace. Mockery of God and God's Word will become increasingly popular. Things will become much worse during the Seven Year Tribulation Period. The world will become ripe for the RIGHTEOUS WRATH OF ALMIGHTY GOD, and the world will get just what it deserves at the end of the Tribulation Period. The SECOND COMING OF CHRIST in Great Wrath will mark the end of the Tribulation Period. CHRIST will prove that HE is GOD and subject all things under HIS feet. GOD'S Patience with evil men will finally end. As Christians, we might have some difficult times in the days ahead, but GOD will be with us, and HE holds us for Eternity. I give thanks we are only here in this life a short time, and I especially give thanks that this world is not our HOME. We are just passing through and look forward to our Inheritance with the Saints in LIGHT - THE LIGHT OF JESUS CHRIST! Love In Christ, Tom 2 Corinthians 4:1 NASB Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, 2 Corinthians 4:2 NASB but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 4:3 NASB And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 2 Corinthians 4:4 NASB in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:5 NASB For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake. 2 Corinthians 4:6 NASB For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:7 NASB But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; 2 Corinthians 4:8 NASB we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; 2 Corinthians 4:9 NASB persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 2 Corinthians 4:10 NASB always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 2 Corinthians 4:11 NASB For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 2 Corinthians 4:12 NASB So death works in us, but life in you. 2 Corinthians 4:13 NASB But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE," we also believe, therefore we also speak, 2 Corinthians 4:14 NASB knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you. 2 Corinthians 4:15 NASB For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 4:16 NASB Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:17 NASB For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 2 Corinthians 4:18 NASB while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. |
