Homosexuality is a sin, pure and simple!!!!!!

The Bible's condemnation of homosexuality is as clear and plain as the Bible's condemnation of murder, adultery, premarital sex, lying, idolatry and many others.

Anyone who has heard of the cities of "Sodom and Gommorah" knows that they were notorious hotbeds of homosexuality. Gen 19:5-8 "and they called to Lot and said to him, 'Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them.' But Lot went out to them at the doorway, and shut the door behind him, and said, 'Please, my brothers, do not act wickedly.'" The Greek word in the New Testament for homosexuality is literally "a sodomite". Jock is trying to redefine what the term "sodomite" means. (A term that has unchanged in 5000 years, even today- "sodomy") Apart from the fact the city was clearly destroyed by God because of homosexuality in the narrative of Gen 19, even the New Testament clearly states exactly the same thing in Jude 7 "Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire." Any sinner should always remember that the God who commands us to love our neighbour is the same God who will cast any and all unrepentant sinners into the "eternal fire". Here are more Bible quotes, Lev 18:22-23 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." Lev 20:13 "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death." 1 Cor 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals" 1 Tim 1:9-10 "realizing the fact that (civil) law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers" Rom 1:26-27 "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."

If the homosexual community chooses to practice homosexuality in privacy, that is there free choice. But let such persons know for certain that the Bible condemns all such practices and God will judge them unfit for the kingdom of heaven if the continue to practice and openly promote homosexual sex.

I was just really appalled by his choices-especially when he could have served as such a strong role model. As someone who works out, I believe we, as athletes, should live up to a Code to hold & serve Christian Morals.
I guess I just live in a different world, though, anymore...

There is no question as to whether homosexuality is moral or not and there is no question as to whther it is a choice or not. Homosexuals make a choice to do what they do and it is most definitely wrong whether they are a body builder or in any other career. I do not respect nor admire them. I will however pray for them that the Lord will open their eyes to what they are doing to themselves and to those they may have influences on.

Did I post here under gymforlord-I know I did at another Christian site, but I have been w/out computer so long. If I did, thanks for remembering. Will try not to disappear! LOL!

We do have some excellent and strong Christian role models for our youth to look to. I could easily name a number of them (Chuck Norris for one). We can also see several in other sports such as in NASCAR. Unfortunately they don't get much publicity in the media for their Christian lives or the things that they do for Jesus. It is also unfortunate that those representing the lack of morals get a lot of publicity for doing so. We live in an evil time in which evil will get the attention of many more people.

I also admire Kurt Warner, Tony Dungy, Trent Dilfer and quite a few involved with FCA & Football. Lee Labrada & Ronnie Coleman are two bodybuilders I admire.

There is no judgment on this matter since GOD has already made the final judgment that won't be changed. Homosexual behavior is an abomination in GOD'S Eyes. The only thing that changed between the Old Testament and the New Testament is that GOD'S People are no longer commanded to immediately stone them to death.

"Homophobia" is also an incorrect term since there is no fear of homosexuals. There is a DISGUST and INTOLERANCE for horribly sinful behavior, so maybe they need a new term - something like "DISGUSTOPHOBIA". Our politically correct society is really being cruel to a lot of people who desperately need to repent and ask JESUS CHRIST to be the LORD over their lives. Political correctness is leading many others into the same lifestyle that leads to a lot of misery. We now have millions dying with a variety of slow and painful diseases. 5,000 a day are now dying as a direct result of diseases contracted by alternative lifestyle behavior, YET there is a push to indoctrinate our children in public schools that this behavior is okay. If their agenda is pushed through, we can expect the disease and dying numbers to sky rocket.

SO, this behavior represents a MORAL CRISIS and a PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS. It is probably a sign of the End Days of this Age of Grace. If so, things will get much worse, and we can expect EVIL to escalate. You're right about children needing proper role models, and it's very sad that people achieving fame and fortune many times represent the most horrible examples to emulate. Things like this should be a matter of prayer for ALL CHRISTIANS.

At the very top of the list, WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS THE MOST IS CHRIST!
