Title: Traveling On My Knees Post by: TigerLily on April 29, 2003, 07:24:49 PM Last night I took a journey
To a land across the seas. I didn't go by ship or plane I traveled on my knees. I saw so many people there In bondage to their sin, And Jesus told me I should go, That there were souls to win. But I said, "Jesus, I can't go To lands across the seas." He answered quickly, "Yes, you can By traveling on your knees." He said, "You pray, I'll meet the need. You call, and I will hear. It's up to you to be concerned For lost souls far and near." And so I did; knelt in prayer, Gave up some hours of ease, And with the Savior by my side, I traveled on my knees. As I prayed on, I saw souls saved And twisted persons healed, I saw God's workers strength renewed While laboring in the field. I said, "Yes Lord, I'll take the job. Your heart I want to please. I'll heed Your call and swiftly go By traveling on my knees." --Author Unknown Title: Re:Traveling On My Knees Post by: Symphony on April 30, 2003, 03:53:30 AM Thank you, Tigerlily. Yes, we can accomplish as much just on our knees in prayer. "The prayer of a righteous man availeth much..." Title: Re:Traveling On My Knees Post by: maryanna on May 21, 2003, 06:01:15 PM Dear Tigerlily, Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem. Obviously whoever wrote it knew well the benefits and joys of prayer. In prayer we get to learn the Father's heart for others and thus we ourselves are never the same. Prayer is a double blessing for the one being prayed over and the one standing in faith submitting the prayer before the Throne of Grace. Our hearts are forever changed! Thank you for your kindness to share. May your week be blessed! In Christ, Maryanna |
