Abortion objector fights back with military lawsuit

A U.S. Coast Guard officer who was denied a religious exemption from taking a Hepatitis A vaccination has filed a lawsuit against his military service. The basis of Officer Joseph J. Healy's suit is that the vaccination would conflict with his Catholic beliefs.

All active duty Coast Guard members have to be vaccinated with one of two Hepatitis A vaccines, both of which are derived from cells taken from the lung tissue of babies who were aborted at 14 weeks gestation, according to Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), which is representing Healy. That is where his objection to the vaccination comes in.

Healy requested the exemption in a memo to superiors, arguing it was in line with his and the Catholic Church's opposition to abortion. But a supervisory officer whom ADF identifies as Captain Brent Pennington denied the request, while disagreeing that the immunizations violate the Catholic faith.

ADF attorney Matt Bowman contends it is simply a case of an individual's religious freedoms being denied -- and that no members of the U.S. military should ever be forced to "make an unconstitutional choice between honoring their country and honoring their faith."

The legal group says a motion has been filed asking for a temporary injunction against the vaccination while Healy's legal case moves forward. The case is Healy v. United States Coast Guard.

I'll just say that I'm shocked! I had no idea how the Hepatitis vaccine was made. To say that this is sickening is an understatement. Hepatitis is a dreaded disease that was becoming more frequent in my last years of police work. Officers were contracting the disease after handling IV drug abusers. At the time, the vaccine was very expensive and involved at least three shots and various tests. The average police officer couldn't afford them, so we worked with the city to provide them. In reflection, I don't remember a hint of aborted babies being involved, and I'm almost certain that other methods were used to make the vaccine. It's possible that's the reason why they were so expensive. I don't think that the average officer would have taken the shots if they thought that the vaccine was made from aborted babies. Most of the officers were Christians and firmly against abortion.

I'm interested to find out if the method of making the vaccine is true and if there are other methods available. I would NOT take this vaccine knowing that it was made from aborted babies. If this is true, religious freedom would definitely be a Constitutional issue and a RIGHT for the person refusing the vaccine. I want to find out more. Right now, I'm thinking that I really hope that other methods were used when I took the vaccine. I would rather have the disease than further the practice of abortion. I will be angry if the same methods were used when I took the vaccine and we weren't informed. My thoughts are very simple on this matter. That baby belonged to GOD and had a NATURAL RIGHT FROM GOD for life. Only GOD had the power to deny life, and I certainly don't have any desire to benefit from the denial of this life. BLUNTLY - this makes me sick to even think about it.

Vaccines From Abortion - The Hidden Truth
THE DARK HISTORY

For over thirty years pharmaceutical companies in this country have been producing vaccines derived from tissues of aborted fetuses, a fact that was brought to light when several prominent Catholic newspapers published articles on the morality of using the vaccines.  The trouble began when a new law in St. Louis County, Mo. required food handlers to obtain the Hepatitis-A vaccine for employment. When the source of the vaccine was revealed, many principled individuals objected and with good reason.  As this information has become public, more and more physicians and parents are troubled by the ethical issues involved.

During the Rubella epidemic of 1964, some doctors advised exposed pregnant women to abort their children. The resulting virus strain developed was known in the science world as RA/27/3, where R=Rubella, A=Abortus, 27=27th fetus tested, 3=third tissue explant. There were actually 26 abortions prior to finding the right “species” with the active virus. The vaccine was then cultivated on the lung tissue of yet another aborted infant, WI-38.  WI-38 (Wistar Institute 38) was taken from the lung tissue of an aborted female infant at 3 months gestation in the 1960s. A second human cell line, MRC-5 was derived from a male at 14 weeks gestation in the 1970s. They were used to cultivate the weakened virus strains of several diseases to produce immunizations.  These two human cell lines cultivated in the lab continue to provide an ongoing source for many widely used vaccines. 

NO OTHER SOURCE

Three of the vaccines were produced solely from abortion and to date, there is no other source available to treat their diseases. The vaccines are:

Brother, I think that many Christians are going to be terribly angry and upset when this information becomes widely known by the general public. I also appreciate the additional sources you provided for information. To say that this is a SHOCKING REVELATION is an understatement. I feel that it's immoral and unethical to withhold this information from people about to take a vaccine. I doubt that any Christians will want to benefit from the murder of babies. I have done just that without my knowledge, and this makes me SICK! I feel guilty even though I didn't know anything about this. I was almost 50 years old when I took the Hepatitis Vaccine, and a baby was butchered to protect me from illness. Needless to say, I would rather die from the illness and let the baby live.

Brother, I hope that I understand the following correctly:


This indicates to me that flu shots were made from murdered babies at some time in the past. WHEN? - I don't know. It might also indicate that some flu vaccines, depending on manufacturer, are still made from murdered babies. I will find out definitely before I take any other vaccine shots. I will refuse in the future to take any vaccine made from aborted babies.

If clean vaccines are available, I'll take them because I'm considered an at risk person for dying from flu, pneumonia, and other things that healthy people usually survive. However, I'm not a healthy person and my immune system is compromised because of years of serious illness. Regardless of the consequences, I won't take vaccines made from aborted babies. I did download the PDF from the link that Pastor Roger provided, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. If I understand this correctly, what I'll call clean vaccines are already available for things like flu, but they're still working on some of the most dreaded diseases. Just know that I would never take a vaccine knowingly that was made from aborted babies. I'll do my homework completely before I take another vaccine. I do have a Christian doctor, and I trust him to tell me the truth when I ask.

I fully understand how you feel. I have had many of these vaccines throughout my time in the Military and it makes me sick now to think of it also. I don't take flu shots myself as they tend to me really bad sick. I will agree though that these articles are not clear on the way flu shots are made and it needs more research to find out if they are made from aborted babies.

If I can remember to do so when I get back I will try to look into it more and then post what I find out here.

Take your time and try to rest up some when you get back. The basic information suggests that nearly everyone has had some sort of vaccine prepared from aborted babies, including the vaccines required by law before our children can attend school.

It's just mind-boggling that they could keep something like this secret from the public. I'll be trying to get specific information also from several relatives in the medical profession. I don't know if they are aware of this either, and I wonder how much the medical profession was told about this over the years. At this point, I'm going to guess that this was a secret from them also until recently. I'm also wondering if what we were taught in school years ago was lies to let the drug companies make fortunes. The same, so labor intensive procedures are discussed now as if nothing has changed. Most people would immediately think about eggs when this subject comes up because that's what was taught. We've also heard the stories about various mold and fungus used to create certain drugs. I wonder now how much of that was true.
