This site has changed me alot.

Before I was tolerant of other people's beliefs but now I am not.
Therefore I go

I'm sorry that you feel that way, David. Personally I don't think it is this forum that has done anything but good for you. Nor do I think it matters whether you stay here with us or move on elsewhere although I am sure many will miss you here including me. What does matter is that you stay strong in the Lord instead of letting people sway you back and forth. Tolerance is something that you need to deal with and learn to balance instead of blaming your problems on others.

Hello Brother David,

I'm also sorry to hear this and will miss you. However, you won't be dusting off your shoes. You have given more importance to a human infatuation than you have to JESUS CHRIST and the GOSPEL OF GOD'S GRACE. So, you might want to examine what you're dusting off your shoes. We'll be praying for you. The below isn't dust:

Galatians 1:6-12 NASB
I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

Very well put Blackeyedpease and yes David I am new here, but have really enjoyed your posts.  Please pray for God's wisdom and knowledge to be certain that you are "dusting off" the right thing(s). I will pray as well.  Sounds like you will be sorely missed. Love in Christ, Eva

I am sorry, once again I did something stupid. Something has changed me alot but it isn't this forum. Therefore I stay.

What has changed me? Someone suggested too much introspection. I never heard of that word so I looked it up. It made alot of sense. I do examine myself alot. I don't know what to do though.

Hello Brother David,

I know that you're going through a difficult time in your life, but you and GOD are the only ones who really know. Maybe you are trying to determine what GOD'S Will for you is, and that's a very personal matter that can only be resolved between GOD and you.

I realize there are many things easier said than done, so I'll say some things that fit into that category. I sincerely hope this helps, so here we go:

1 - Don't worry so much about what men say and suggest. Pay the closest attention to what GOD says and what GOD says that HE wants in HIS WORD.

2 - Whatever men say, measure it with the TRUTH of GOD'S WORD. GOD sets the ultimate principles, values, and instructions for this short life - not men.

3 - In times of difficulty, we have GOD with us and can pray any time we want to. By difficulty, that could be times of doubt about what to do, how to do it, who to trust, and any number of things. This one has the easiest answer - Trust GOD.

4 - We many times find the answers we seek in GOD'S WORD, and this is one reason why Bible Study is so important. We should always pray before we study the Bible and ask GOD for the help of the HOLY SPIRIT in understanding and finding what you need. We need to pray often and for much more than just understanding GOD'S WORD. There is a reason why the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD lives in our hearts. He resides in us as a comforter and guide through this short life. We can ask GOD to help us with the burdens on our hearts and wait upon the LORD for the answers. There is no irony that GOD many times gives us our answers in Bible Study. You will know it the first time you experience GOD answering your prayers. It will be like a light bulb turning on in the dark and a strong feeling of "that's what GOD wants me to do."

Brother David, I hope this helps you some. I know this is very general information, but it has to be. You know about the burdens on your heart, but you're not alone. GOD is with you. We are also with you in prayer that GOD will help you deal with the burdens on your heart. Please know that things aren't supposed to work right unless you put GOD first. If you put GOD first, many other things will begin to fall into place.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Colossians 2:6-17 NASB
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him. Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day -- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

Hello David James..

It's good to hear you are staying. Though I'm new in this forum, it feels like knowing you guys for so long. We'll pray for each and everyone to be strong and persevering for the greater glory of God thru Jesus Christ. I want to share something from the bible and a song which made my faith and determination to serve God stronger lately when I attended a church.

Mat 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
1Co 10:31  Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

   STILL
I
Hide me now, under Your wings.
Cover me within Your mighty hand.

CHorus:
When the oceans rise
and thunders roar.
I will soar with You, above the storm
Father You are king over the flood,
I will be still and know You are God.

II
Find rest my soul in Christ alone,
Know his power, in quiteness and trust.

***
When the oceans rise
and thunders roar.
I will soar with You, above the storm
Father You are king over the flood,
I will be still and know You are God.

Find rest my soul in Christ alone,
Know his power, in quiteness and trust.

***
When the oceans rise
and thunders roar.
I will soar with You, above the storm
Father You are king over the flood,
I will be still and know You are God.

***
When the oceans rise
and thunders roar.
I will soar with You, above the storm
Father You are king over the flood,
I will be still and know You are God.

God Bless!

All's I can say is, I Love You Brother & God Loves You and it sounds like alot of other people here care, So Brother DavidJ, Keep Seeking the Lord & Cleave to Sound Doctrine,
and if ANYONE comes to you with any other Doctrine than the one that has been delivered to you/us by
his Disiples, Kick them to the curb and don't even bid them Godspeed or you'll become a partaker of their sins.

2nd JOHN 1:
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

I Pray that the Lord streghten you and that you Endure all the things that can befall a child of God!
Stay strong Brother
Remember, God chastises all Sons that come to him
Hebrews 12:
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

I Love this Chapter it reminds me to remember why i might be going thru something difficult and to stay strong & Endure...
Your Loving Brother Duane
P.S
I'm Glad the Lord put it in your Heart to stay...
And see that you are a Sr. Member here at CU., as you know i'm new here...
I don't know of all the problems you are going thru, But maybe this might help you some,
1st Know that i'm not trying to compare my problems with yours or that mine we're worse than yours, Ok Brother?
I've had 6 dads, 4 by the age of 12 and i could'nt even begin to count how many boyfriends my mom brought home.
I started doing Drugs with my mom when i was 13, just a few months after i was Baptised on Easter 1974,
What a shame that WAS to me, because i knew at that age alot of the things that people are hearing today from preachers & such...
And i fell into one of the deepest pits this world has to offer: TOTAL UNGODLYNESS,
So many they could be numbered by the hairs on my head...
I jooined a christian fellowship group when i lived in Japan, and one year Billy Graham came their
and we all went to see him and he said a Blessing & a Prayer over us...
What a Blessing that was for me in that time of my Life,
Ever sense then it's been Onward & Upward no matter what may be happening in my life,
As a christian you can be sure of one thing, You can overcome the Evils of this World
Sorry that was along P.S
Only because I Care Though

Hello David,
I had to look up introspection myself, but I found that I am the worst in the world to do it.  I am always trying to find my mistakes so I can correct myself and find where I am going wrong.  Sometimes I get obsessive with it and just become a total disaster.  Don't dwell on all the things that aren't going quite right in your life.  I don't know what you have going on but I can kind of relate a little.  I am stressed out all of the time because I have bills and I am working every minute I can get at work to pay them.  I am always trying to find myself.  I am told that I am my own worst critic.  Don't be so hard on yourself, and don't worry about every little thing.  This is where I go wrong 99% of the time.  Worrying wont accomplish anything and being hard on yourself won't either.  God is in control just pray about everything that is bothering you, but don't be surprised when your prayers are answered!  He is in control and is working things out!
