Title: The True Gospel Post by: Soldier4Christ on August 01, 2007, 10:21:57 PM The True Gospel
Not every gospel is the true gospel. The New Testament believers in Galatia were drawn away from the gospel they originally received from Paul to “a different gospel” (Gal. 1:6). This “new” message was marked by an absence of God's grace. Proclaimed by those who believed that converts to Christ who did not come from a Jewish background ought to be circumcised and abide by the regulations of the Mosaic law, it made salvation a matter of human effort, something to be earned by those who relied upon their own good works. Paul rightly characterizes this change to his message as a perversion (Gal. 1:7). In his criticism of the Galatians, the apostle identified three distinguishing marks of the true gospel: grace, faith, and a focus on the person of Jesus Christ. The biblical gospel is a message about grace. It is the promise of a righteousness that comes from God and can only be received as a gift through faith (Gal. 2:15-16). But it is also a message about Jesus Christ. The righteousness offered to those who believe the gospel is Christ's own, purchased for them by His obedience, death, and bodily resurrection. The true gospel is a call to personal faith in Jesus Christ (Gal. 3:26). The gospel is also a message of power. Those who believe are given the capacity to “live by the Spirit” (Gal. 5:16). They gain ability to resist the passions and desires of the sinful nature. The false gospel and the true gospel are both concerned about moral behavior. But in the true gospel, moral behavior is a fruit of God's own work in the believer. There is still human effort involved but it is divinely empowered effort. In the false gospel, obedience to God's commands is an attempt to earn His favor. In the true gospel obedience is an expression of gratitude for a forgiveness already received and a righteousness already obtained. It makes no difference if those who preach a different gospel are as impressive as an angel from heaven. God's judgment of their “ministry” and message is clear. Any gospel that differs from the gospel Paul preached is really no gospel at all (Gal. 1:7). Title: Re: The True Gospel Post by: nChrist on August 02, 2007, 01:34:52 AM AMEN BROTHER!

Look down until you find "Bible Prescription Shop". Click on that. When that page comes up there are four buttons close to the top right hand side. There is "Mark As Read", "Notify", "New Topic" and "New Poll" buttons. Click on the New Topic button. Be sure to fill in the Topic space. That is where "Perseverance" would go. Then continue as you would any other post.

I'm trying real hard to understand what you might be seeing. I'm beginning to wonder if you are getting some error messages from your own computer or the Internet Service Provider you use. I asked not long ago about the room left on the Christians Unite Servers, and our ADMIN told us there should be MUCH MORE than enough to last us until after JESUS comes for us. None of the moderators are aware of any problems at all on the Christians Unite Servers, and most of us post several pictures a day. I can't remember the last time that I got any kind of any error message from the Christians Unite Servers. They are huge, fast, and designed to serve many thousands of people all over the world every day. The last I heard, the forum is only about 4% of the work being done on Christians Unite, so it's truly a massive and well-run system. Please let me ask you one thing about pictures and see if this might be part of the problem. Just having a picture that I want to use on my computer doesn't mean that I can use it on the forum. The picture must have what's called a "hot link" and be continuously available on the Internet before I can use it on the forum. My personal computer isn't hooked to the Internet continuously, and I get a different address every time I use the Internet. So, I have to keep my pictures on PhotoBucket for them to be available continuously. I also used to have a web site that had some of my pictures, but I don't have that anymore since I changed Internet Service Providers. All of my pictures are "hot linked" to PhotoBucket 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When I post a picture, it's from PhotoBucket, not my own computer. The pictures I post are nothing more than Internet Addresses to my pictures on Photobucket. I don't get to see my own picture until Christians Unite finishes downloading it from Photobucket. Sister Def, I hope this helps you some. I also tried pretty hard to figure out what you were talking about when mentioning "attachments". We don't have attachments on Christians Unite. I thought you might be confusing this with email instead of a message that you post on the forum. I did find some forums that do have attachments, but I really don't understand how they handle it. The biggest problem would be some folks that would abuse it and put some pretty horrible things on the attachments. Attachments would also use up a ton of space on the servers, so I don't know how this would be practical or safe for any forum, especially a Christian forum. If you saw some of the things that many banned people have done here, you would understand pretty quickly. We know that you wouldn't do anything wrong, but we don't have attachments anyway. I think that our ADMIN could do something like this if he wanted to, but it would be very dangerous. There would be a risk of exposing our members to virus, pornography, and who knows what. Right now, Christians Unite filters everything before you get it, so it would be EXTREMELY difficult for someone to attack your computer through Christians Unite. In fact, it would be almost impossible. If your computer is attacked, it would be directly - not through a maze of hardware and software security devices that Christians Unite uses. There wouldn't be any point in even trying since it would be thousands of times easier to hit someone's computer directly. Using attachments would give someone an opportunity to attack someone's computer directly since it wouldn't be coming from Christians Unite or through Christians Unite. In other words - when you see one of my pictures on the forum, it came from Photobucket and had to get through the security of Christians Unite before you could see it. You would also have to be looking at that message. The most important thing is that you wouldn't be pushing a button to download an attachment that you had no idea where it was coming from. If I was using a forum that had attachments, I wouldn't use them for fear that someone would give me a virus. I don't worry about Christians Unite at all because I know it's completely safe. BUT, there are a lot of people who hate Christians, and they would use any opportunity they could to get at us. They might be able to do it directly - BUT not through Christians Unite. I hope this made some sense. Love In Christ, Tom (http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i160/tlr10/favor/favor162.gif) (Sister, the picture above started with me posting an Internet address to PhotoBucket. I won't get to see it until I finish the message and Christians Unite "fetches" it from PhotoBucket. The Internet Address I used without my image codes is http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i160/tlr10/favor/favor162.gif If you click this Internet address, you should see the same picture that you see above. ) Title: Re: The True Gospel Post by: Def on August 22, 2007, 04:47:16 PM Hello Tom when I return a post it is Mark at the bottom3 boxes...Post-Preview-spell check...and on the left hand side there is a sign :ADDITIONAL OPTION when i press there, come out with 3 little boxes for me to check (Notify me of replies) Return to this topic) Don`t use smileys) and below that there is

Title: Re: The True Gospel Post by: Soldier4Christ on August 22, 2007, 06:56:05 PM Hi def,
We can't do anything about the blog's. We are only moderators for the forums. Any problems with the blogs should be brought to the attention of Admin. You can use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the blog page for problems with the blogs. I checked on the attach and picture problem that you are having. It doesn't show up for the moderators but when I logged in under a new name it gave me the same error notice. I will be getting with Admin on this function to see what we can find out. I do beleive that it will not be a function that will be allowed here on CU and that you will have to use the other way that we have told you about. Title: Re: The True Gospel Post by: nChrist on August 23, 2007, 11:22:11 AM Hello Sister Def,
I'm sorry about the problems you've been having on the blogs. I've never had a blog, and I've not had the time to learn about them. So, I really don't know much about the Christians Unite blogs except they are free and many people use them. The forum moderators don't have any functions we can do on the blogs. AND, I'm not aware of any of the moderators having a blog here on CU. I'm also sorry that we didn't see the menu entries you saw on attachments. They were not available to any of the moderators, so we were at a loss to understand what you were talking about. At this point, I'm going to guess that this involved a forum software upgrade and some functions showing up in some menus that ADMIN didn't know about. The main thing I want you to know is that none of the moderators lied to you. We simply couldn't see what you were seeing because it isn't in our menus. For now, I'll just assume this was a software error of some type that will be fixed. I doubt there was ever any intention to turn attachments on. Moderators don't have access to the menu and configuration system, and I'm glad that we don't. It's huge and effects all of Christians Unite. Our ADMIN takes care of all that, and I give thanks that he does. Love In Christ, Tom Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever! Title: Re: The True Gospel Post by: Def on August 23, 2007, 02:12:38 PM Hello Sister Def, thank you Tom .the Gift of God did not come to us as a` picture or image `anyway It came to us as the WORD made Flesh..That is so wonderful ,I just understood that lately God gave me that gift because He loved me He gave me what He himself loved the most so I decided to give myself to that Gift so that the Gift Himself can give me back to God there is so much Love between the two and i believe that that is the power of His goodness the two together making One ...It is OK about the problem it made me partice my "Perseverance" in Jesus I knew what I was doing was right,so I let go..As for the blog I have been try to annul and i am still there, so i gave that to Jesus too on the20 July,to me it end of story. If it stay there let it be.I'm sorry about the problems you've been having on the blogs. I appreciate your prayers, and I really think that we should all pray for each other every day. All of us have problems of some sort to deal with, and I many times give thanks that mine is just health and disability. I know many Christians with problems that I consider to be much greater than mine. So, I give thanks and know that GOD has been very good to me and my family. One of the things that makes me the happiest is knowing that all of my family are Saved. Sister, I do like to think about "citizenship" pretty frequently, but I always associate it with a Christian's citizenship in Heaven. That's the citizenship I'm waiting for, and that's at Home with JESUS. If we think about this extremely short life and compare it to Eternal Life with JESUS, our problems here seem to be small and insignificant. If we know about the REALITY in CHRIST, how could we complain? I didn't say that I don't complain, but I feel bad when I do because I know about the REALITY in CHRIST. Love In Christ, Tom Matthew 22:36-40 NASB "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' "This is the great and foremost commandment. "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."
