Title: WE HAVE WON Post by: Maryjane on July 31, 2007, 01:07:52 AM In these times, there is a rise in christians who have fallen away from the faith. christians who have been in battle after battle that wears them down and many seek other avenues of relief. Paul, a prisoner in a roman jail, wrote to Timothy. He reminded him to endure. Enduring to the end is to reign with the Lord. Christians have to stand and be courageous. To live is Christ and to die is gain. We are not promised that a life of a christian is an easy one on this earth, but we are promised eternal life. We are to stand committed to Jesus Christ that we can press on towards the prize. The army of the Lord is one that stands victorious because of the blood that covers us. The blood of Jesus that gives us the victory over all our circumstances. Those who have gone before us offered up their lives. They suffered in a jail for the cause of Christ for preaching in the street. There was not preaching of prosperity, nor debate, but of the cross that lives could be saved. Not one was a theologian, nor scholar, but one that was so committed that they gave their lives even unto death. There is coming soon a time when there will once again be persecution. We have to take the position as victors in Christ Jesus. To recognize the stumbling blocks that can tear down the testimony. We think stumbling blocks come from outside the church, but it is very much in the church today with compromise that has become comfortable. BUT..We have won. We are the body of Christ and we have been given all that we need to stand in victory even when the battle rages, we have won. It is time to step up to the plate. it is time to take hold of all that Christ has given us and to use it. To come together for the cause of Christ instead of trying to figure out which religion is the right religion. It is the cross and it is only the cross that can bring us to God. Arguing is ceased for we hold the truth and have been told to go and tell the gospel. And most important to DISCIPLE. To take under our wing those who are yet babes in Christ that they will grow to maturity of the Word of God. We have been given a responsiblity that only commitment to Christ can fill.
