John Edwards seeks help from Iran, Syria in stabilizing Iraq

MAQUOKETA, Iowa: The United States needs help from Syria and Iran in stabilizing Iraq, Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards said Saturday.

He also called the Iraqi prime minister a weak leader.

Edwards again said that if he were president today, he would immediately reduce the number of U.S. troops in Iraq by about 50,000.

"The Iraqis are going to have to take responsibility, and they haven't," he told people at a campaign stop in Iowa.

The former senator told reporters that the U.S. "should be making our own evaluation about the circumstances in Iraq" and that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has not proved effective in stopping violence.

Since when does the farmer ask foxes for help stabilizing the hen house?

This is meddling of the worst kind. The arab/muslim have a saying; "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

So John Edwards sees the GOP as his enemy, and the islamic world as a greater enemy with Bush, therefore John Edwards's making a "deal with the devil" in order to cause trouble. The problems he is creating for our future...... in order to feed his selfish interests today is alarming.

This seems to be the liberal way of doing things now. Unfortunately these blind people don't see Iran as an enemy but rather as a victim of the Bush administration.
