Title: Convict sues God for broken contract Post by: Soldier4Christ on July 14, 2007, 09:52:06 PM Convict sues God for broken contract
Claims deal made for divine protection from evil, 'instead he gave me to Satan' who caused murder A man serving a 20-year sentence for murder has so-far been rebuffed in his effort to sue God for breach of contract by failing to protect him from evil and turning him over to Satan who encouraged him to kill. Pavel Mircea, 40, filed his lawsuit in the western Romanian town of Timisoara, charging God with failure to fulfill an agreement Micera alleged was made at his baptism. "He was supposed to protect me from all evils and instead he gave me to Satan who encouraged me to kill," he charged. In the lawsuit, Mircea listed "God, resident in heaven, represented in Romania by the Orthodox church" as the defendant, according to the Romanian daily Evenimentul Zilei. God's alleged dereliction, according to Mircea including fraud, breach of trust, abuse of a position of authority and misappropriation of goods – all crimes, the plaintiff noted, under the Romanian criminal code. Micera said that God had accepted his prayers and sacrificial offerings without providing any services in return. Thus far, Micera is not getting an answer to his prayer to the court for relief, either. The Timisoara public prosecutor rejected the case, saying God is not a person in the eyes of the law and does not have a legal address where he could be served with court papers. Micera may get off lucky if his case ends there. As WND reported, Italian atheist Luigi Cascioli was ordered to pay a $1,900 judgment after a court ruled he had filed a fraudulent suit against an Italian priest for saying Jesus Christ existed. Cascioli contended the cleric violated a law that forbids deceiving the public. The atheist said the priest, who had publicly criticized him for casting doubt on the truth of the gospels, had no evidence Jesus ever existed. Specifically, he claimed two Italian laws had been broken: the "abuse of popular belief'' – which amounts to intentionally deceiving someone – and "impersonation" – meaning one gains by giving a false name to someone. After all, the devil made him do it, so why didn't he sue the devil? If this clown wasn't in jail, he would probably be working for the ACLU.

I would not be surprised that they have his application on file! This is another example of "the devil made me do it" In today's society we no longer have to take responsibility for our words, or our actions. It was'nt my fault,I had a bad childhood! It wasn't my fault, he provoked me! etc. We no longer have to be men, just come up with some excuse. DEFINITION OF EXCUSE: a reason wrapped-up in a lie Do you think that the excuse "The devil made me do it " will hold water when the person stands before the Great White Throne? Personally I do not think I would have the audacity(spelling?) to stand before my Lord and try that one.I once told an athiest I know that he was absolutely correct when he said there were no athiests in hell: one second after they got there they became firm believers! I blame much of these type of actions on us, the christian people who have passively sat back, not speaking out, and let the enemy of our soul gain control. Joel tells us we are an army, and we need to fight to take back that which our father has promised us. Too many christians have not spoken out because they were afraid of what someone might say, or think about them. If we have crucified ourselves in Christ, then we are already dead and have no feelings to be hurt. Ray Boltz has a song that says this well: I pledge aligence to the Lamb with all my strength with all I am I will seek to honor His commands I pledge alligence to the Lamb Jesus gave his all for us, can we do anything less for him? respectfully yours in Yeshua ravenloche Title: Re: Convict sues God for broken contract Post by: Soldier4Christ on July 15, 2007, 01:35:00 PM You are totally right. There is no responsibility or accountability taught today. Instead it is "you were born that way" or "someone else made me do it". The day of accountability will be coming soon.
Title: Re: Convict sues God for broken contract Post by: nChrist on July 15, 2007, 04:15:34 PM Hello Ravenlocke,
First, I must say AMEN! to your post. Second, I'm happy to see you on the board. We've missed you and enjoy your posts. Our part of the world has never been close to perfect, but our societies were much closer to GOD 50 years ago. I know that the changes would be impossible for younger people to understand because they weren't around then to experience what everyday life was like 50 years ago. The changes have been massive, catastrophic, and quick. Overall, the changes involved a moral erosion that make our societies in this part of the world almost unrecognizable. As a result, a variety of problems have hit just about every family, so the price was terrible. As nations and peoples, I firmly believe that we must be UNDER GOD to be blessed. I'm not hinting that individual Christians are no longer blessed by GOD because I know that we are. However, our surroundings are much worse, and it is much more difficult to raise families in the LORD these days. Our children and grandchildren are exposed to horrible things, and there is only so much that we can do to shield and protect them. Brother, more and more I do think we might be looking at the last days of this Age of Grace. The Holy Bible tells us that these things will happen - AND much WORSE is yet to come. Regardless, nothing relieves us of our Christian responsibilities with our families. As you've already mentioned, excuses won't work. We just have to pray, pray some more, and ask GOD to give us the strength and guidance to do HIS Will. Along the way, however hard it gets, Christians should be encouraging and strengthening each other in CHRIST. CHRIST is our strength, and we must all learn to rely on him minute by minute every day. Love In Christ, Tom Title: Re: Convict sues God for broken contract Post by: ravenloche on July 15, 2007, 04:59:14 PM you just had to mention 50 years didn't you! I turn 50 in two weeks! ;D
my youngest son, and wife are already planning a over the hill cake. ravenloche Title: Re: Convict sues God for broken contract Post by: nChrist on July 15, 2007, 05:11:00 PM Hello Ravenlocke,
;D I would say that I'm sorry for you in looking at that big 50, but I'm looking at 60 fairly quickly. So, this severely limits my "Over The Hill" jokes. In fact, I almost quit doing those except with a few in my family that never let a birthday pass by without some sort of rude reminder. Both of my brothers are really good at this, but one is older than I am so he gets an immediate pay back. ;) The youngest brother is the one who really has the fun, but we gang up on him. You know that you're getting older when you have to go to the fire department for a birthday cake permit. ;D Title: Re: Convict sues God for broken contract Post by: Maryjane on July 15, 2007, 06:09:49 PM What good is an earthly judgement as ridiculous as this in hell...God will not be mocked and a fool is one who mocks God..

Hello MaryJane, Sister, you hit the nail on the head. I honestly believe that we are watching more and more fools every day mocking GOD. Judgment and punishment might not be immediate, but it will most certainly come and it will be severe unless they seek forgiveness and accept JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR. Love In Christ, Tom |
