Title: Prayer Request
Post by: islandboy on June 27, 2007, 09:54:31 AM
I don't generally ask for prayer for myself, but could use some good thoughts coming my way. This past Sunday, I came down with food poisoning from eating an apple grown in a foreign country. I am still running a fever and have an upset stomach and as a result feel really miserable.
Hope to be better soon and up and around and posting again.

Hello Islandboy,

I will be praying for you. I've had food poisoning before, and I know it isn't any fun.

Love In Christ,
Tom

John 14:6-7 NASB  Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."

I too will pray for you.  I had food poisoning from some bad chicken a couple of years ago.  The chicken and dumplins were good until a couple hours later :)    I know its not any fun!

Praying you will feel better soon.  I also have times when I can get an upset stomach, usually from too much stress.

Just wanted to thank you all for your prayers. I am improving daily. Being able to eat chicken soup was wonderful, in the fact that I am hungry again. For the first couple days of course there is no way to eat or keep stuff down. Then you know you have to eat to get better, but would drather not. Then finally you get to a place where food smells good again and tastes good again. Thats when you know your on the way to recovery. The gas, burping gurgling and bubbling feelings in my stomach have finally left and I feel human again. Not something I care to go through again. My mother's had it twice, once with a bad dairy product and then with fresh spinach. Not fun at all.
God Bless you all.

Thank you all so much for your prayers.
I have always believed in the power of prayer and have a strong conviction that praying for the needs of others is more important than self-prayer. As the old saying goes "what goes around comes around", when prayer is sent out for others, in helping others, we in turn benefit both morally and spiritually.
I have steadily improved over the last couple of days and today managed a walk around my yard. I hold you all in my thoughts and prayers that you will all have a wonderful day.

Another Amen Islandboy,

Prayer is part of the love we have for each other as Christians. We should also always remember that we serve a Loving and ALMIGHTY GOD who loves to hear our prayers.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Colossians 1:13-14 NASB  For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
