Here is one He gave me a long time ago, and kind of goes with the other one I just posted.....

BE NOT OF THE WORLD

WHY DO SO MANY CHRISTIANS THINK, THAT LIFE IS IN THE WORLD?
THEY STRIVE SO HARD TO GET THE GOODS, THAT MAN AT THEM HAS HURLED.
WHEN JESUS CHRIST SAID UNTO US, TO LIVE AS HE DID LIVE.
HE MEANT THAT IF WE FOLLOWED HIM, UNTO US HE WOULD GIVE.
SO BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD, AND NOT JUST HEARERS OF.
AND JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND GOD, WILL FILL YOU WITH HIS LOVE.
THINK NOT THAT BEING OF THE WORLD, IS NOT THAT BAD A THING.
FOR IF YOU FALL INTO THAT TRAP, YOU'RE UNDER SATAN'S WING.
SO LOOK NOT TO THE WORLD FOR FUN, FOR THAT IS WHERE DEATH LIES.
BUT LOOK TO JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD, FOR IN HIM NOTHING DIES.
THE LORD JESUS GAVE UNTO US, THE TEACHINGS OF GOD'S WAY.
AND IF WE FAIL TO LIVE BY THEM, WE'LL PAY THE PRICE ONE DAY.
FOR AS YE SOW SO SHALL YE REAP, THE GOOD AND BAD ALIKE.
SO LIVE AS JESUS CHRIST HAS TAUGHT, AND AT SATAN YOU'LL STRIKE.

"If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." [Gal. 5:25]

For Christians, there are other important things to think about regarding this world.

Christians were never promised that this short life would be easy. In fact, things are many times difficult and discouraging for Christians in this short life.

Christians many times become depressed and weary of the battles in this short life. We must remember that this world and this short life is NOT all there is. In fact, this world is nothing and isn't even our HOME. AND, our short life here is NOTHING in comparison to Eternity with JESUS.

YES - things do get discouraging for Christians many times, but we must put things into perspective. Our Citizenship is in Heaven - NOT this world. We will be in this world for only a short period of time. Our HOPES, PROMISES, AND HOME isn't here!

If all we had to look forward to was the things of this world, this short life would be miserable. We need to think of ourselves as visitors just passing through this world and this short life. HOWEVER, as Christians we have a purpose here. GOD wants to work in and through us to bring others to JESUS CHRIST. Our happiness and fulfillment in this short life will be much greater if we yield to GOD'S Purpose for us. We don't have to live discouraged and defeated lives here. The Holy Bible teaches us how to have Victory in JESUS every day in this short life.

Regardless, this world and this short life is NOT all there is for Christians.
