Title: Best time to pray
Post by: KiwiChristian on October 30, 2003, 02:12:35 AM
Thought I would just ask and find out when others here think for themselves personally how often and when they find time to pray?  I'm a busy mother of 3 kids and usually I pray when I am doing my housework.

I have two kinds of prayer. I pray all day, asking God what to do about certain circumstances and opening and closing doors as He sees fit, but I also have times of concentrated prayer where I'm doing nothing but that. This kind I enter just before I go to sleep, when the house is quiet, there are no phone calls, there's nothing I have to do or anyplace I have to be, and I can just clear the clutter out of my mind and bring myself fully before His throne. I am also trying to include a shorter period just before I begin the day, but this is a new habit and I don't always remember. I tend to think about what I have to get done the second my eyes open.

Romans 12:12.  Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

 1 Thessalonians 5:16.  Rejoice evermore.
 17.  Pray without ceasing.
 18.  In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

I have the same prayer plan as Whitehorse - pray thru out the day and I have an hour set aside 6 days a week.

Pray on, saints!  We're availing much by the power of God!!
