Tue, 12 Jun 2007 04:20:40 Iranian Parliament Speaker Gholamali Haddad Adel has urged a unified front among the Muslim states against plots by the Israeli regime. Addressing a gathering of Tehran-based Muslim ambassadors on Monday, Haddad Adel protested the silence of Muslim countries in the face of the Zionist regime's continual violation of human rights in the occupied territories. "We should never allow the destruction of al-Aqsa mosque (by Israel) to be taken as an ordinary issue, neither should we let them go ahead with setting up new Jewish settlements, which is a stark violation of all UN Security Council resolutions." Haddad Adel was speaking on the 40th anniversary of the occupation of the al-Aqsa mosque by the Israeli troops in 1967. He called for a global vigilance on the part of the Muslim countries to foil plots by the illegal Israeli regime to force its domination over Islam in Palestine. I always find it interesting that they can condone the bombings of mosques by Muslims in Iraq, while condemning the actions of Israel. Don't they all worship their god Allah? I have never understood their rationale. ??? |
