Title: Need a Job Post by: growinginGrace on May 09, 2007, 12:28:27 PM Please pray for me that God will help me find the right job soon. I am out of work and my wife's job is the only source of income we have right now. Please pray that God will lead me to the right job and give me wisdom and guidance to know what to do. We applied for food stamps today but am not sure when we will get them or how much we will get. Please ask the Lord to bless me so I can support my family as I should.
Life has been hard for me lately and I have been battling depression on top of every thing else and would love to receive God's blessings in my life right now. Please pray that He will help me and show me what I need to do. i have prayed and asked Him to forgive me my sins of envy and bitterness I have had toward others and have felt His peace come upon me showing me that I have been forgiven, I just want Him to bless me now and help me through this rough time I am going through. I really do appreciate all your prayers and thank you all very much. God bless Title: Re: Need a Job Post by: Soldier4Christ on May 09, 2007, 12:42:05 PM My prayers are definitely with you.

I have been through many and I can look back and see that in each one God was moving me towards His goals. If you would like to email me your resume I would be happy to review it for you. I would also recommend using local job boards (most states have them through employment agency). Get into the practice of getting the Sunday paper. Spend non-church time Sunday going through it and finding companies that have work you may be interested in (even if they are not advertising for it). Then Mon-Wed from 8am-afternoon be out on the streets turning in resumes and getting applications. You have to make your job search your current job, and treat it as such. Ask around in church and call other churches. What you are asking for is contacts, contacts of people that are working for companies that are in fields that you would like to work in. You are not looking for hand outs but just help from Brothers and Sisters. Do not be discouraged if you hear no, or negative responses, this is an unorthadox method of job searching...but then as a child of God you are not orthadox. On Thur and Fri you help your wife out. Clean the house, get dinner ready, etc. You also take this time to plan out some places for next week to visit. And to pray. Companies will generally do their call backs at the end of the week, so you want to be home when they call. Do not be afraid of odd jobs or temporary work...if it keeps the lights on at the house then it is worth it. And there are two more things that are the most important to remember. Trust that God will provide you with the job that He wants you in (even a temp job). And two, do not forget to tithe. If you cannot trust God with your money then how can you trust Him with your job search? Title: Re: Need a Job Post by: Faithin1 on May 09, 2007, 07:00:01 PM You have received excellent advice. I would like to add another site that may be of help to you. While online, go to indeed.com, enter your career interest and location. This particular site feeds from most job sites on the internet. They will also send job alerts to your email address, if you choose that option. Please don't give up, God is able to provide. My prayers are with you.
