Title: Living by faith Post by: GeneandElvie on April 20, 2007, 12:58:09 AM I have been a Christian for 37 years now and it gets better every day. Last year I was told I had a eye disease that had made me legally blind and that it would result in total blindness any time. The cure: none. I became depressed and thought how could I be of any use to God. Later on a friend told me of the needs here in the Philippines and if I was willing God could use me. After much prayer and conviction by the Holy Spirit I decided to go. I have no regrets! The Bible tells us that it is for lack of vision that my people perish. Helen Keller was once asked if there was anything worse than being blind. Her response was," Oh yes, to have your eyesight but have no vision". My eyesight may be poor but my spiritual vision is 20/20. Amen! A word of encouragement to all, no matter what your limitations may be, God is bigger! When we are obedient to Jesus Christ and the written word of God, we will bless you and use you in ways you never dreamed possible. Phil:4:13 says, " I can do ALL through[ Christ which strengthen me". I really believe that the heartbeat of God is missions!! Please pray for us here in the Philippines and God bless all.b][/b]
