*Sigh.* The five most prominent words in the typical Cub fan's vocabulary...When will we get our glory? Year 96 can't come soon enough... Oh well. I wouldn't mind seeing the Red Sox go all the way. If it happens that it's the Marlins vs. the Yankees in the World Series (and it probably will be), however, well, I just don't know who to cheer for. I cannot ever, ever, EVER forgive Florida from stealing the spotlight, and I hate the Yankees with an undying passion. I hope everyone on both teams just dies and the trophy goes to the Cubs. Not as dead as the fanaticus interrupticus fellow who forgot there was a play-off game goin' on They've got helicopters circling around his house, the media breaking down his door, undoubtedly some kind of price on his head, he's on a Witness Protection Program (I think), he's probably become clinically depressed by now, and the fact that 40,000 people were calling him an a****** on Tuesday night doesn't really help matters much. He should take the three-month vacation to Florida the state is offering him before his house gets rigged with explosives. Yesterday, I was feeling particularly murderous towards him, but with everything he's got going on right now, I can't keep that anger towards him. He gave a sincere apology...let it go.
