Title: Daylight Savings Time Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 10, 2007, 09:50:55 AM For those that are in the areas that recognize and practice Daylight Savings Time do not forget that tonight is the night to set you clocks ahead. It is being done earlier this year than it has been in the past.
Title: Re: Daylight Savings Time Post by: nChrist on March 10, 2007, 09:45:21 PM Hello Brother Roger,
I fall into this category. I'm not sure yet how big a problem has been caused in this time zone by moving the time change. As an individual, I don't plan to worry about it much, but moving the time change is going to be a pretty big problem for the big networks, possibly including financial institutions. Nearly all systems were set to automatically update themselves according to the schedule for the old time change. For me, I just plan to be an hour off and let my computer change itself on the old schedule. ;) If being an hour off on my computer is my worse problem, I'll just consider myself to be fortunate. Title: Re: Daylight Savings Time Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 10, 2007, 10:16:34 PM For those going to church or to work it is important to have the right time. I hadn't thought about the time change on the computers. They are automatic changes and now that will have to be set manually for those that need to keep track of the correct time.

I've had a change of thought. My wife just told me to keep the time correctly on the computer. I'll manually change it back when the computer tries to automatically update things in 3 weeks. I assume that's what the big networks will also have to do. Title: Re: Daylight Savings Time Post by: David_james on March 11, 2007, 08:49:34 AM It changed automatically after all ;)
Title: Re: Daylight Savings Time Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 11, 2007, 10:31:31 AM Yes, mine did also. It has me stymied but it must be in the program to recognize the time change automatically somehow.
Title: Re: Daylight Savings Time Post by: David_james on March 11, 2007, 11:14:00 AM I think it works like this: You know how you get automatic updates for computers that doesn't need internet connection? I think it works like that :)
Title: Re: Daylight Savings Time Post by: ibTina on March 12, 2007, 10:04:23 AM I downloaded the 'patch' and had it all set to fix the time change and it did not work for me .... no biggie
Title: Re: Daylight Savings Time Post by: nChrist on March 12, 2007, 12:28:51 PM Hello Sister Tina,
I didn't know anything about a patch, but I have Windows updates currently turned off. For whatever reason, Windows updates have really messed up my computer recently, so I switched Bill Gates OFF. :D I updated mine manually after my wife did some convincing. I pretty much do what I'm told and know who does the cooking. ;) Title: Re: Daylight Savings Time Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 12, 2007, 12:54:18 PM I might have that patch already installed. I haven't had a problem with the automatic updates yet so I left it on auto and I haven't checked to see what the updates are either.
