Then the collection plate gets passed at any minute and when it gets to you, you put some money in it, and at the end of mass, a moment you can savor...you get to look around and shake the hand of your neighbor. Sorry I found that amusing in a good humorous way. But true. Polls may say that there is a large population of Christians in this country. But we also see that there are a large number of Christmas and Easter Christians there as well. We as Christians need to encourage and yes at times badger our brothers and sisters to come out and participate. We need to be welcoming visitors and church members alike. I am ever so greatful that comments I hear about our church is how friendly and warm everyone makes the visitors feel (coming from visitors). Good post and keep up the faith. |
