A new movement against radical Islam? 
Modeled after anti-Communist efforts, activists plot strategy

Two conservative activists deeply involved in the anti-communism movement of the past are planning a broad strategy of re-creating those efforts in a new mass movement to fight radical Islam.

Jack Wheeler, a strategist credited with formulating "the Reagan Doctrine" that helped bring down the Soviet Empire, and Steve Baldwin, a former California legislator and the executive director of the Council for National Policy, have teamed up for what they describe as the creation of an "Anti-Islamofascism Movement."

"One cannot write the history of the Cold War without acknowledging the key role played by the American Anti-Communist Movement," they write in a memo to conservative leaders. "It was a broad movement involving many different organizations that, for decades, kept its focus on the defeat of the Soviet Empire. And it succeeded."

Wheeler and Baldwin say anti-communism was "the defining issue that brought hundreds of thousands of people into the conservative movement in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. There was a sense that this movement had to be successful if not only America but Western Civilization itself were to survive."

They say the current war of global conquest being waged by Islamofascists will be an even tougher fight than the battle that focused on the Soviet Union.

"But we don't seem to be prepared for this war," they write. "Unlike the movement created during the Cold War, there doesn't seem to be much of an infrastructure to combat Islamofascism."

The agenda for such a movement should include the following activities and efforts, they say:

    * investigate radical mosques

    * support anti-Islamofascist freedom fighters

    * thwart attempts to impose Sharia law

    * form an anti-Islamofascist publishing network

    * create an anti-Islamofascist portal on the Internet

    * establish an anti-Islamofascist speakers bureau

    * wage an ideological assault on Islamofascism

    * support efforts to evangelize Muslims in Europe and the Middle East

    * create a global anti-Islamofascist coalition

    * reframe the illegal immigration issue as one of national security

    * end dependence on foreign oil that's funding the Islamofascists.

Planning meetings through regular teleconferencing are already underway. There is a new secure Internet forum where ideas are being exchanged. There is also an e-mail address where those interested in the "movement" can make their intention known – 910@yahoogroups.com.

"This needs to be done in order to preserve both America and Western Civilization," Wheeler and Baldwin say. "Without the anti-Communist movement, it's likely we would still be in the midst of the Cold War today. Wise men and women rose up to the challenge and created a movement that was very much opposed by the existing political and media establishment. But we won. Then we all went to sleep."

Hmmm, very interesting. I am sending this info to my "email list"!!  Passing it on to others....

A novel idea.  However we must realize first and foremost that we are not dealing with a government or anything like that.  We are dealing with religious zealots.  The root of the issue with Communist Russia is that we bought them out.  Our economy proved to be stronger than theirs.  With Islamofanatics their is not an issue of money or anything like that.

* This is being done and a good measure.

* Some problems with this is that we have not had good luck with this sort of things.  We supported the Contra's before they became a bad name.  We even supported Osama while he was fighting the Russians.  So for us when we support someone it starts off OK but then bites us in the backside later down the road.

* One that is a good idea...but then if we say that a country can only have a certain type of law or government then are we not getting like the Imperical Japan, or even the Soviet Russia?

* The web is a wonderful world.  And already full of some anti islam pages.  However a majority of them are radical anti-islam types of pages.

create an anti-Islamofascist portal on the Internet
* See above

establish an anti-Islamofascist speakers bureau
* The thing with this is that you have to get this filled with people who are not only islamic, but also not American's.  They need to be of Middle Eastern decent.  As soon as the Islamofascist sees a reported Muslim come on speaking out against them then they have to look at where they live and such...if in the U.S. then they are discounted as hereitics.  And we have so far not been able to get any of the high ranking spiritual leaders of the Middle East to denounce Al Q as it is.  All others that have are just "under the sway of the Americans"

* Will not matter here either.  How can we assume to wage an ideological war on Islam using Islam when we do not even know it ourselves.  Let alone the fact that we cannot even fight radicals on our own soil without dramatic steps, Waco, WBC, etc.

support efforts to evangelize Muslims in Europe and the Middle East
* Do they mean to conver them to Christiandome?  I personally think that would be a wonderful thing.  Except then you also look at the concept of we are not here to conquer or anything like that but we support the effort to make you all the same religion as we are.

create a global anti-Islamofascist coalition
* Wonderful idea.  One step further would be to actually make an international information coalition to spread and share intelligence on terrorists.  However nothing would flare up the radicals more than the world of infidels joining together to go against Muhammed.  Even neutral countries that are not part of the coalition would now be subject to attack because it would be Crazy Islamo-fascist against the world.

reframe the illegal immigration issue as one of national security
* Nothing says isolationism like putting  border patrols under military jurisdiction.  Sniff...sniff....should we break out our copy of Mein Kampf

end dependence on foreign oil that's funding the Islamofascists.
* A great idea.  However we give in to the environmentalists way to often and the do not let us tap into things like ANWAR and other possible reserves.  And hybrid and hydrogen cells are still a decade away or more before our dependancies are reduced dramatically.  So either we wait on our fight against the fascists or we suck it up and learn to pay higher prices...and I am willing to pay the higher prices and not hold it against my President if you are.

Many good ideas throughout...all though some of them put us in the Fascists seat for a bit.  And we have to be careful there.

Some very good points brother. Many walls that would have need to be overcome.


One more point to add to this one. We are having difficulty preventing this even within our own nation. Little by little the aclu, cair and similar organizations in the U.S. are eating away at our Constitution and other laws that are making it easier for Sharia to move in. We have a very great need to prevent that before we could even start trying to influence other nations to do the same. Note I say influence not force.

So how can we stop these things? 
The biggest and easiest way is to give a darn about what happens.  Get out and vote.  Write letters to congressmen and people of that nature.  Talk with neighbors and friends and see how they feel.  Maybe they are wrong and you can convince them, maybe you are wrong and they can convince you. 

Let our leaders know how we feel and what we stand for.  Even against the ACLU if America stands against them they will crumble.  If we as a nation say that suing a policeman for doing their job is the right thing to do and it was not wrong...then eventually even the ACLU will lose support and lose strength and will die out.

And most importantly we need to pray and to focus on God.  For only He can truly bring us out of this darkness.
