Title: Christian Goals Over the Next 1 To 5 Years Post by: nChrist on November 21, 2006, 02:44:01 AM Brothers and Sisters,
I've been curious about asking this question for quite some time, so I decided to go ahead and ask it. Many people are goal-oriented in many ways, but I rarely hear about Christian-oriented goals. As Christians, if we don't have Christian-oriented goals - why don't we? GOD should be first in our lives. When we do make GOD first in our lives, there is a benefit in every other part of our lives. So, if this is something you haven't thought about, please think about it, pray about it, and set some realistic goals for your Christian life. By Christian goals, I would be talking about many things: friends, family, Brothers in Christ, Sisters in Christ, Bible study, formal or informal education, witnessing, missions, something you are asking GOD to help you with, and a host of other things that Christians think about every day. Maybe your goal is challenging and involves the actions of other people you are working with. Or, maybe the goals are personal and just as difficult. I just thought it would be nice to share our goals, encourage each other, and pray for each other. Love In Christ, Tom Romans 8:16-18 NASB The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Hebrews 10:19-23 NASB Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; Title: Re: Christian Goals Over the Next 1 To 5 Years Post by: Soldier4Christ on November 21, 2006, 05:53:14 AM Amen Brother! This is what I like to call my battle plan as it is a battle that we face against the evils of this world and satan.
There is so much and I haven't written any of it down. The Lord willing I hope to continue in this battle by helping people educate their children in the ways of the Lord. Goals in this area is to make people aware of the ungodly problems in public schools, showing them that there are ways possible that they can insure that they uphold there responsibilities to God and their children. Providing them with the resources to help them do this, much of which is available for free on the internet, thanks to some very Godly people, for homeschooling or in private Christian schools. Showing private Christian schools how to provide excellent training for families without it costing them or the families an extensive amount. There is so much more in this area, much to much to list it all. Witnessing to others every chance I get. I like to use some homemade tools that are similar to tracts or calling cards that are excellent ice breakers. These can be made specifically for certain target groups. By this I mean, for example, I frequent many Military Veteran organizations so I make one that thanks the Veterans for their service on one side and has a message on the other side, a Bible verse or a simple plan of salvation. This can be done for others as well such as students, senior citizens, mothers, fathers ......... Another aspect that involves some of the above is within our government. I hope to be able to do much in the coming years in this area. Contacting our politicians in an attempt to keep the rights of Christians to be able to witness to others, keeping the History of this nation in truth instead of removing it from public and hiding it from the public. Keeping laws that prevent us from worshiping and witnessing in public off the records. Doing what I can to promote Godly laws. Again there is much more here than can be listed in a short time. I hope to be able to get a web site going that will provide much of the information pertaining to all this and much more completed. As you mentioned Brother, prayer. Prayer is one of the most important things in this battle. I hope to continue in and even to improve my prayer time. Well this is a start. I do hope that others will join us here so that we may all pray for each other in this, give encouragement and perhaps even some ideas. One goal that I have is to try to be a Becon for Jesus everyday to those who are lost.. hoping that they will see the Hope that is in me which is He!! Another goal is when reading the Bible that God will open up another 'Truth' to me which I might not have known or understood before. I have many goals, and some of them are much like Pastor Roger's. I've prayed about health issues, and I would first say LORD Willing. I pray for strength and guidance to continue serving the LORD in whatever manner HE Wills. I would like to do a new web page in the next year that is all Christian. I've already worked on some of the content, and it would involve me moving to a different Internet Service Provider. One of the things on my list is "Founders'" dreams and documents that provide proof of our Christian foundation. I would also like to make a fairly large amount of Christian materials available for download. All of my space on my current web site has been used up for several years, so I have quite a bit of material already done that I would like to make available. Some of it would be Christian graphics. I am also sold on the necessity that Christian parents will need to move their children out of public schools. This is not an area that I've spent much time in, but I do have a collection of appropriate material that I would like to make available. Much of what I'm thinking about is the writing of our founders, many historical documents, and material that was actually used in American classrooms 100+ years ago. I said that some of my goals were similar to those of Pastor Roger, and they are. However, Pastor Roger has access to current materials and methods for helping Christian parents right now. Most of what I have is historical in nature. I hope and pray that Christians Unite continues to distribute Godly materials all over the world every day. I pray every day for our Administrator who makes this happen in many ways that people on the forum don't even know about. The forum is only 3 or 4% of the work being done for the LORD on Christians Unite. I would ask all of our Brothers and Sisters in Christ to join me in prayer for this ministry. Thousands of Christian Web sites all over the world receive Christian materials from Christians Unite every day. I also pray for the forum every day that the work will continue and GOD will use it for HIS purposes. We have the promise of GOD that HIS WORD will never return void, so that is more than enough motivation for every post with a Godly message. I give thanks for the many sweet Christians who have posted here over the years, and I know that GOD is still using those posts. Our page views just for 2006 will be well over 3 million, and our page views per day average between 8 to 10 thousand. I hope and pray that many find what they need to accept JESUS CHRIST as their Lord and Saviour. LORD Willing, I would like to continue working with the sweet Christians here and enjoying our fellowship. Most of all, I want to yield to GOD'S Will completely and follow whatever path HE sets for me.
