Title: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on November 07, 2006, 06:45:35 PM Hi Folks,
Just need some prayers for my daughter. My 2 year old daughter went into respitory distress for an unknown reason last week. My husband and I don't smoke and she isn't around any crazy fumes.....My daughter and I were in the hospital for 6 days and I have taken her to 3 doctors and they "think" it's asthma. I am treating her for asthma but she is still breathing weird. Sometimes, no matter how much faith and trust we have in the Lord - your mind still ponders the worst - so needless to say she has been in bed with us ever since. I know I just have to give God control and quit getting so stressed out - but I keep thinking, what if God wants to prune me by a trial or tribulation. Can all you out there please pray for my faith and trust and my daughter's health restoration? Thank you kindly Danielle Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: Soldier4Christ on November 07, 2006, 07:12:40 PM Hi Danielle,
Yes I will keep you both in prayer. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: nChrist on November 07, 2006, 11:24:05 PM Hello danielleenbody,
Sister, I will definitely be praying for your family. Do I understand things correctly that you and your daughter have both been ill with like symptoms? I ask you this because it could be allergies or something related to very dangerous mold and fungus problems in many areas that have had a lot of rain or flooding problems. PLEASE do consider this because mold and fungus problems can be life-threatening. I must add that it can be life-threatening to someone who is completely healthy and not subject to allergies or other respiratory problems. If it is in your home, it MUST be cured or the people have to move. There is a lot of this in the news because of flooding in various parts of the country, but many people and doctors are NOT used to this problem. This is a difficult problem to diagnose unless you find the problem in your home, so please have someone qualified check your home. Some people do die with this problem, so please check this quickly and move if you have to. Love In Christ, Tom Romans 6:10-14 NASB For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: Brother Jerry on November 08, 2006, 12:28:39 AM Prayers go out for the will of God to be done. I pray that God's healing hand be upon your family in all ways, for comfort in troubling times, for the daughter who is battling an unknown illness.
Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on November 08, 2006, 01:13:28 PM I apoligize, I re-read my post and it did sound like I said I was ill as well. My daughter has been in bed with us every night (instead of sleeping in her crib) which is proven to be not good - but I can't help but thinking some respitory thing may happen at night. We had mold in our old condo when she was a newborn and it was remidiated and the test was clean - we have moved and done allot of reconstruction which may have irritated the "asthma". We have had allergy tests done and they came out negative. I spoke with the American Lung Association and they pretty much told me that Los Angeles is the worst place for an asthma child too live (comforting). We have cleaned out our air ducts, sanitized our home and purchased an air purifier - she seems and acts great, but the weird breathing bothers me. I (personally) have lived in 2 homes with mold and there is no existing water damage in this home (thought I may get it tested anyway). Does anyone have asthma and know anything else that may irritate it.
Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: Brother Jerry on November 08, 2006, 04:32:03 PM I hear Montana has clean air :)
Just kidding. I will continue to pray for your family and their health Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: Shammu on November 08, 2006, 11:58:02 PM I will pray for your family and their health.
Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on November 11, 2006, 11:52:07 AM Danielle, I do suffer from asthma, it is controlled though. For me asthma is triggered by stressful situations, hay fever, pollen, dander, and dust. I do take singulair everyday and I also use a nebulizer with a medication called duo-neb in it. it works better than albuterol, because it contains 2 medications. The asthma has been controlled for 2 years now. I only had one asthma attack in the last 2 years. Some children outgrow asthma, but first make sure that it is asthma and not bronchitis or something else.
I will keep her and your family in my prayers. Title: Re: pray for my daughter - is this asthma?? Post by: danielleenbody on November 14, 2006, 02:17:46 PM Yeah, that's the frustrating part, Is this asthma???? She has seen about 5 dr.s and they all kinda say asthma and she is being treated as if she has asthma. She is on singulair and an inhaler (Q-var) daily and Xeopenex and Pulmacort only when needed.
She breathes weird sometimes (a thick heaving sigh, but not a wheez) though and other asthmatics don't seem to know what I'm talking about, that's what makes me question the disease. Her chest x-rays are clear. Any other asthmatics out there have weird breathing outside of shortness of breath or an asthma attack? Plus I watched the show "House" last night and I am thinking...wow there are so many other diseases out there...what if she is being mis diagnosed? It's hard to not go crazy on this one. I need to trust in the Lord! Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on November 15, 2006, 02:16:47 AM Danielle, I think I know exactly what you mean about the 'almost very hard to catch breath'breathing, I get that too from time to time, but only when I am very stressed out or when I have tried to do more than I should. I try to take walks around the neighborhood to improve my heart rate and my circulation, that gets my heart pumping and sometimes it causes me to lose my breath like that, there is one other reason I get that though, and that is because the muscles in my diaphragm are not as strong as they ought to be yet. I have been challenged and my muscles have weakened due to MG, but I am gaining more and more strength with medications and with therapy.
I will continue to pray for your daughter. Remember God is our Father, He hears our prayers. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on November 15, 2006, 02:37:23 PM Hi airIam2worship,
I will pray for you and your health as well. Sometimes I feel so dumb complaining or stressing on certain things. I just spoke with a woman today who's daughter suffered from secondary MS and is allergic to the drugs to help it. I feel like I could cry any minute right now listening to others when I try and get advice. I am very blessed to have a loving family and a home. No one said life was easy. Thank you so much for your help and advice. God Bless, Danielle Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on November 29, 2006, 08:30:33 AM Sister Danielle, I am just getting back from a long absence here at the forum, some of it due to health issues but most of it due to financial reasons. The company my husband worked for is going bankrupt and on November 1st over 50 people were laid off, my husband was among them.
Praise God. We serve a merciful, loving, faithful God, Who promised He would never leave us or forsake us. He is our High Priest, our Intercessor, He know our needs because He carried each and every single disease that is or has ever been known to mankind and He nailed them on the cross. He intercedes to the Father when we pray He is our Advocate, He pleads in our behalf, He stands in the gap for us He prays for us. SO I asked myself "What can go wrong that my God cannot fix?" NOTHING!!! Danielle, there is nothing whatsoever wrong with asking Brothers and Sisters to pray for us when we have a need of any kind, Jesus prays and intercedes for us and we are to do the things that He does. God wants us to stand in the gap and pray for one another and to build a wall (hedge) around those we pray for, and to stand in the break (gap), before Me (pray, lift them up in prayer before the Lord. So Sister I will always stand in the gap for you and your daughter as long as you need me to it is not just an obligation, but it is a privilege. Do not feel bad and do not hesitate to ask for prayer whenever you need prayer. Eze 22:30 And I sought for a man among them who should wall up a wall for the land, and stand in the break before me, that I should not destroy it. But I did not find one. I love this song: I don't know how to post the midi on the forum but here are the words, you might be familiar with it. :D When You Pray Words and music by Audrey Mieir At the close of the day, when you kneel to pray, Will you remember me? I need help every day, this is why I pray, Will you remember me? Refrain When you pray, will you pray for me, For I need His love and His care. When you pray, will you pray for me, Will you whisper my name in your prayer? At the close of the day, when I kneel to pray, I will remember you. You need help every day, this is why I pray, And I will remember you. Refrain When I pray, I will pray for you, For you need His love and His care. When I pray, I will pray for you, I will whisper your name in my prayer. Thank you for your prayers. I really needed them Love in Christ, Maria Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on December 05, 2006, 05:29:05 PM Ok now I am crying.
You are a true prayer warrior airIam. I will pray for you and your husband and your financial situation. I will pray that you are financially blessed. Thank you so much for uplifting words!! God Bless! ;D Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: MusicMedic5150 on December 05, 2006, 09:20:27 PM Danielle I will pray for your daughter. Have they tried to give her an allergy medication to prevent the asthma attacks? My son had/has the same problems your describing to a tee. We put him on Zyrtec and within 2-3 months he was better. Im not saying Zyrtec will work for your daughter but they can put her on an allergy medication of some sorts. Check with your doctor and ask him/her about it.. Your family is in my thoughts!!!!
Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on December 06, 2006, 07:31:58 AM Danielle, how is your daughter doing? I am still praying for her and for you and your family.
Love in Christ, Maria. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on December 06, 2006, 12:52:10 PM Hi Maria,
My daughter, Meagan was breathing kinda weird ALLOT! So I wasn't satisfied with the dr's ...."this is normal" - so they had me double up on the inhaler and it seems like ever since then she has been great! We have had crazy winds this passed week - so I have been worried something would happen - but by God's grace she made it through ok. I am still praying that she will grow out of this altogether - and to "Musicmedics", is Zyrtec an inhaler? I will as my docter. Maria, how is everything with your husband? Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on January 19, 2007, 02:15:02 PM Hey folks,
Here I am again asking for prayer for my daughter. She has pneumonia and isn't eating, she was just in the hospital for respitory distress in October. Please pray for her that she is set free from asthma. Thanks, Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: Shammu on January 19, 2007, 08:59:06 PM Hey folks, danielleenbody, you know I will pray for your daughter, and yes I am praying. Here I am again asking for prayer for my daughter. Thanks, Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on January 22, 2007, 08:54:22 AM Maria, how is everything with your husband? Danielle sorry I'm so late replying to your post, God is so GOOD. My husband got a job just one month after the lay offs, and Praise God, he is even making more money. I was praying for the rest of his friends that were working with him at the old job, they got let go the Friday before Christmas, and thank the Lord that through my husband and others that also were hired where my husband now works they too started working immediately after the holidays. Danielle I've heard of Zytec, it's an over the counter remedy for colds and flu, but I don't know if it works for asthma. I was once on Pulmicort, but because I take so many other prescription medications, I couldn't stay on it because it contains cortisone. So far only duo-neb in conjunction with the Singulair has worked for me, I've developed asthma when I was in my 30's I am in my late 50's now and many doctors have said that when you get asthma as an adult you will always have it. But I thank God that I still haven't had another attack in a very long long time. I am still praying for your daughter. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on January 22, 2007, 01:05:32 PM Thank you all so much for your prayers - Meagan (my daughter) is getting better, but she is on so many drugs to keep her out of the hospital (Q-var, xeopenex, augmentin, prenezone and singulair) it just doesn't seem right for a 2 year old. She isn't eating and it breaks my heart. I pray to God for healing but I can't help trying to control the situation instead of letting God control it. I think it's the hardest control to give up - even harder than anything else - either that or I have a stubborn heart.
Well Maria, Praise God for you husband - that is awesome. He is good. Thanks again, Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on January 23, 2007, 10:07:12 AM Danielle, as a mom I know exactly how hard it is to let go.
My youngest daughter (now 25) was born with a small hole in her heart and breathing problems, when she was 2 and a half months old she got pneumonia, shortly after that she has to have a cauterization to find out what was wrong with her heart, they found the small hole which eventually closed on it's own and the only effect now is a mild murmur, however during the course of her first year she got pneumonia 6 more times (7 in total by the time she turned 1). They didn't know what was wrong with her they did sweat tests to make sure she didn't have cystic fibrosis, and numerous allergy tests. She was pronounced clinically dead on 3 different occasions, her heart would stop beating and they finally came to the conclusion that she had SIDS, she was put on a heart monitor until she was a year and a half, and just as they were getting ready to take her off it she went into convulsions, that caused her eardrums to rupture, she suffered mild hearing loss in one ear and moderate to mild hearing loss in the other, the convulsions would come and go periodically without warning and without her having a fever. She also developed rashes and other problems that were later proven to be allergies to 7 different antibiotics. I was at the end of my rope and felt so helpless to see my baby weighing 14 pounds at a year and a half. I finally just threw myself at God's mercy and told Him exactly how I felt, and what I wanted Him to do (save my baby). As soon as I did, my daughter started getting better, as I said she is now 25 and a mom, she is healthy and has even outgrown the asthma that she had as a baby. Continue to pray for your daughter, let God know how you feel and what you need Him to do for you in her life and in yours. And then rest assured that He hears your prayers and that He is Faithful and Merciful. I will continue to pray for you and for Meagan, and for the doctors that take care of her that God will give them Divine Wisdom. God Bless you, Your sister in Christ, Maria. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on January 23, 2007, 01:24:47 PM Thank you so much Maria. Sheesh...Have you been through the ringer or what? You definitely have wisdom in the situation. Meagan is getting better but she is not eating, she is normally chubby and now her ribs and hipbones are poking out - but I am trying my hardest to leave it up to God. It just stinks when they are so little and helpless.
Thanks again so much. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on January 29, 2007, 08:42:31 AM Danielle, children have a way of bouncing back and better than ever it's us moms that have a hard time recovering, maybe a good idea is to let Meagan choose what she might want to eat. And offer her a few snacks during the day.
When I had my grandchildren here for 3 weeks during the holidays, I would make them 'special breakfast'(so they thought). I would scramble 3 eggs and just give each of them very small portions, slice a couple of bananas, and place them on the side, make a small amount of home made diced potatoes, and add a few grapes to their bananas, to my daughter's surprise they ate all of it, because it wasn't a whole lot even though it seemed like a lot, and it looked very appetizing to them, it was a change from the oatmeal, or the dry cereal. Sometimes kids are funny about eating because even if they never say so they just get tired of the same foods, just like grown ups do. I'm sure you may have already tried a dozen different ways to try to get Meagan to eat but maybe little thing like letting her choose, if she's old enough maybe she can (think) she is helping you, by handing you the foods, or maybe you can sit her up on a counter that is not close to the stove and let her watch you fix the dinner or lunch. Half of a peanut butter an jelly sandwich, some sliced apples, or applesauce, and maybe a special little treat like a couple of vanilla wafers or an oreo or even a couple of hershey's kisses, little thigs like that make kids feel so special, and the small amount slowly increases their appetite, and they look forward to mealtime. Just a few ideas, things I tried with my 6 kids and 14 grandkids. ;D ;D When my son was 3 and a half years old and my daughter Gina was 1 he weighed one pound less than she did, I was so concerned that I took them to the doctor. Gina was 22 pounds, my son was 21 pounds, well the doctor told me that my son's weight was perfect and that my daughter was overweight. :o :o :o. I didn't know how to make an 1 year old go on a diet. And I was so worried because my son never wanted to eat. Finally my mom told me how to make his plate look more appetizing and she also told me to just let him eat what he wanted and not make a big deal about it if he didn't eat, he would eat when he got hungry. I knew she should know after all I have 1 sister and 5 brothers so my mom was an expert. ;D Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on January 30, 2007, 04:06:53 PM Well my little peanut is finally better and out-eating me...It's like as soon as you give it up to God - He takes care of everything. Thank you all for the prayers and words of wisdom.
Danielle Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on February 01, 2007, 10:03:27 AM Amen, it's good to hear that Meagan is feeling better and eating now.
I will be away for a few days while I recuperate from minor surgery I had done on my toe, it seems I got a nail fungus and it infected my entire toe, the infection spread and my foot was turning purple, I am now on antibiotics, and pain killers. The dr did not prescribe an antifungal for me to take orally because I have a whole slew of other health issues that I am challenged with and because he did not want aanything to mess with my liver or with the coumadin I take. Instead he prescribed ann anti-fugal medication that I have to apply to my nail bed every day for the next year. Sheesh!! I am hoping to be able to be back in a few days as soon as some of the pain subsides and as soon as I can stop taking pain-killers, they are messing with my head and make the walls jump out at me and the floors go up and down. I've ended up on my back side a few times already so I will be back soon. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on February 07, 2007, 05:07:49 PM I just had strabismus surgery - (eye muscle surgery) due to double vision. Is this a crazy health year or what. Well, I hope all is well with your toe, Maria - sounds uncomfortable.
God Bless. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on February 08, 2007, 05:35:13 AM Hello everyone, I'm back for a little while :-\. I might need surgery on another matter, I will find out on Feb 19.
Danielle I know what you mean about the double vision, I have been wearing an eye patch for the last few days because of double vision. Mine is due to MG, they can't operate, I do have prisims in my eye glasses, but they are tri-focals and it's hard to see through them when you have to be laying down. ;D So I just put on my patch and an another pair of glasses that are not trifocals (I have 4 pairs of glasses for different things ;D ) My toe is getting better. But tell me how is Meagan? Is she eating more? is she getting better from the asthma? Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: Tammy1 on February 09, 2007, 12:30:22 AM Danielle,
faith is very hard to have, but it's all you have to cling onto. God is with you and your daughter wether you feel Him or not. Pray for healing, God is so much bigger than any doctor could ever be. Your stronger than you think. Also don't beat yourself up wondering if your being pruned or not, if you'll pay attention close God will show you how He could use your daughter being sick. Remember there's a purpose in everything we go threw. I would love for you to read my story, you can either email me at faithimage@hotmail.com or myspace.com/faithimage God Bless you and your daughter Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on February 09, 2007, 12:56:00 PM Hi Tammy,
All I have to say is WOW!!! I read your testimony on Myspace. I love to hear miracles like that. It is so weird because I have never heard of a Copper deficiancy before and that is the second time I have heard of that this week. God is s good and amazing. I will pray for you, Tammy. It seems like Christians go through trial so much more because God uses that time to get close to us. Don't you notice when things are going great - we aren't as close to God as when things kind of stink. I know when I am going through hard times during prayer and listening to Christian music and just lose it and start crying. God Bless Tammy!! Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on February 15, 2007, 10:37:20 AM Guess what everyone, when the enemy doesn't mess with us that's when we have to worry. As long as we are living a Godly life satan will throw all kinds of things at us just like he did with Job.
Jas 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Jas 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. WBN Learn hence, 1. That the afflictions which the people of God meet with, are trials of all their graces, but especially of their faith. This is a radical grace: we live by faith, we work by love: now of graces, satan has a particular spite against the Christian's faith, and God has a particular care for the preservation and perfection of it, Knowing the trial of your faith worketh patience; that is, it administers matter and occasion for patience, and, by the blessing of God upon it, it produces and increases patience; often trial puts us upon frequent exercises, and the frequent exercise of grace strengthens the habits of grace: Consequently the more our trials are, the stronger will our patience be: Knowing that the trial of your faith worketh patience: it follows, Jas 1:4. Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: danielleenbody on February 20, 2007, 12:47:09 PM It's funny you say that because everytime everything is going really smooth. I always think, "Ok - something bad is going to happen" - and I am hardly a pessimist but it just seems to work out that way....but God is always good and brings greatness to the worst situation :)
Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: airIam2worship on February 20, 2007, 02:42:38 PM I know God sees me through He is my Rock, I seek Him when I need shelter from the storms of life, for me that's EVERYDAY ;)
Title: Re: pray for my daughter Post by: Debp on February 27, 2007, 10:36:56 PM Just wondering if your daughter could possibly be allergic to the laundry detergent you use? Maybe you should try a hypo-allergentic one (if there is such a thing). Also, I have heard dust mites can cause allergies....I pray she is doing better now. Btw, I'm in Los Angeles, too.

I am kind of narotic anyway.....this asthma thing has kind of sent me over the edge. She has had allergy tests and she came out clean. I do use free and clear ALL or Cheer. I have the air purifier. I have had the ducts clean and vaccum frequently. Unfortunately, I live in Southern California near Los Angeles...I have thought of moving outside of Los Angeles before but it never seemed to happen because I would miss my family too much. My daughter seems to have episodes mostly when she gets sick. I had my in-laws over this weekend (my brother in law was home from Iraq) so they had a party at our house and every kid that walked in the door was sick. My daughter just had pneumonia a month ago. So by the grace of God, she is ok. She had an episode the night before last but I gave her the lung steriod and she is fine...(which doesn't always happen). My poor daughter is just sick so much....I appreciate all the prayers. Thanks again.
