1) To forgive is to compensate for the offenses of those who offend us by sacrificing our own life in order to bring healing and redemption to those who offend us. 2) Forgiveness has no limit. 3) If we do not forgive as Jesus did, we do not have love in our heart. 4) We accept God’s forgiveness by making forgiveness our way of life. Therefore, if we do not forgive others as God does, we reject His forgiveness. 5) Forgiveness is sacrifice and love. Are there any more? I'm glad you made this post because it speaks volumes and causes many thoughts. I really don't have anything to add except just some thoughts about what you have already written. I would simply like to say that JESUS CHRIST represents the ultimate and most pure definition of Love and Forgiveness. We can never match the level of love and forgiveness that JESUS IS, but we are to try. Love and forgiveness go together in many ways. One might even say that Love is the fuel for forgiveness. Matthew 22:36-40 NASB "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' "This is the great and foremost commandment. "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."
