Title: Praise Ye The Lord!
Post by: Soldier4Christ on October 13, 2006, 02:10:23 PM
Many of us are familiar with this old song. It is a very simple song with just a few words said over and again. A real easy one to remember. How many know the importance of these words though and what does Hallelujah actually mean?

Webster's 1828 Dictionary tells us "HALLELU'IAH, n. [Heb. praise ye Jah or Jehovah, to praise, that is, to throw, or raise the voice, to utter a loud sound; L. ululo.]" A wonderful and very simple to use Dictionary that has many definitions that Christians use daily.

Many of us are always going to God with requests, putting our primary importance of talking with Him in those requests. How many of us place ourselves in the position of thanking Him for the many things that He has given us without our even asking for them?

We are told in the Bible "to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even; ". We are given an example in Mat 21 where Jesus was praising the little children for the praises and singing unto Him. "Out of the Mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise". Have you ever heard children praising the Lord? It is simple, honest and filled with love.

We also see in the book of Psalms how David praised the Lord even when things got tough for him and he felt down trodden and overly oppressed with the heavy burdens of this world.

Brothers and Sisters, Praise Him in the morning, Praise Him in the evening, Praise Him all the day long. Thank Him from the bottom of our hearts for the many wondrous things that He has done for us.

He is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, our Lord, our Saviour, our everything!Praise of all Praises and Thanks of all Thanks unto Him.

THANK YOU JESUS!
