Christian Network Brings Children's Radio to the Internet

(AgapePress) - American Family Radio -- the broadcast ministry of the American Family Association -- has launched KIDZRADIO, a new 24-hour Internet-based radio network designed for children.

Online streaming technology will allow children all over the world to access Christian songs, programs, games, and activities by visiting either the website for American Family Association or American Family Radio and clicking on the KIDZRADIO banner.

The KIDZRADIO line-up will rotate on a daily basis and will feature such programs as Paws & Tales, Kidz Songs, and Patch the Pirate, among others. New episodes of the programs will be added on a regular basis, while old episodes will be stored and available to the listener on demand. New programs will be added in the future.

"Our new KIDZRADIO channel will allow children to listen to their favorite programs whenever they want," says Don Wildmon, founder and chairman of AFA. The Internet channel will replace AFR's Saturday morning children's radio broadcast, which is limited in the number of children it can reach.

"We plan to continually upgrade KIDZRADIO, adding games and interactive sites for children to enjoy. KIDZRADIO will allow parents to be complete worry-free when their children listen," Wildmon adds.

American Family Radio has almost 200 stations nationwide, with its flagship station (WAFR, 88.3 FM) located at AFA headquarters in Tupelo, Mississippi. The KIDZRADIO website, while still under development, allows online listening using Winamp, Itunes, or Windows Media software -- all free downloads over the web.

KIDZRADIO is part of AFA's plan to increase the use of the Internet to expand its ministry to serve listeners of all ages. A new 6,000-square-foot communications center is under construction to handle AFA's Internet expansion.

AMEN!!!

In my heart, I seem to know that the American Family Association will remain true to their Christian objectives. This is good news for the Internet and good news for children. I give thanks every time I hear about GOD taking over another piece of the Internet.

So, I say BRAVO AND GOD'S SPEED TO DONALD WILDMON! I will pray for their ministry.
