Title: Ressurrected Faith
Post by: freaky_me on April 20, 2003, 06:21:13 PM
Hey everyone.  Our youth group is making a band called Ressurrected Faith (and I'm in it!) I just wanted to know if you guys think that name sounds cool.  We are still contemplating about it.  I know all of you are like, "what does it matter?  we have no part in this descision."  But, I just want some advice.  Thanks!

I love the name, my oldest son was in a band at your age, and they went thru oodles of names before they were able to decide (some were too silly to mention lol)
I say pray about it, I think a bands name is very important, it tells people what your about...another name you might like is "Faith in Motion"  ...jest off the top of my head  :D

Thanks, IrishAngel, for all the advice.  I'll be sure to tell all the other band members about your name suggestion.  Thanks for being there for someone new!  ;)

There's a 1969 Bob Hope movie with a new hippie band called "The Comfortable Chair".

I cringe every time I think of it.

In looking for a title for anything, you want to cram as much meaning, inuendo and implication into as few characters or as short a title as possible--the more compacted into the fewer the xters, probably the better.  (Brevity is brilliance, as they say)

For a Christian rock band, that's very easy to accomplish by just naming it a Bible reference.  That's not only compacted, but people will have to go look it up(thus you're getting more than one bird with only one stone--they're reading the Bible--hehe).  "Genesis", "The Song of Moses"...

A different tact--use the double entendre.  That is, using household titles from the secular world, but apply to what you're intending:  "Litmus Test", "Road Atlas", "World Atlas", "People's Republic"(I like that one, ), "Persecution", "Critical Analysis"(hehe)...

I like it! Has alot of meaning.  I need some of that resurrected faith myself.   God Bless Your Work For The Lord.  As Long As it is OF the Lord. Whatsoever is not will come to nought. Another thought.......Can faith die and resurrect again? HMMM.   God Blesses, Doozer
