Title: what not to do
Post by: YOUNG MEGATRON on August 17, 2006, 11:56:11 AM
I cant really tell any one exactly what to do....But heres what not to do.

how many churches must i abandon. The reason why non beleivers have such hostile feelings towerds christians is this. hypocrites!! I find most people of the church are too quick to judge others based on back grounds and apperence. T.V.evangelist dont help either with the gold Pinky Rings and $$1000.00 suits.."send me your money"

mild mannord christians on sundays...selfish, unsensitive, money hungry bigots through the week. dont Judge some one by thare hair cut or hair color...do you know this person you are judging? Has Fashion passed you by? when the musics too  loud..your too old. Expression and Influence is a huge factor in todays youth/young adults.

Is that a tatoo i see?? son your going to hell. c'mon now. Only God can judge. The same people who make church donations talk about the homeless in insesitive ways. There are still church goers who use racial slurs behind closed doors. If they done...It sure seems that way. Why?

And Quit pretending the Bible is a Fact. Its not a Fact. we beleive through our Faith. Most Faith is  "tought faith". We are conditioned and trained to beleive. It dont happen over night. Keep that in mind when a question pops up...most questions with the Bible are valid ones...Non beleivers Dont have time for a "thats just the way it is" and "Well Its right here in the Bible" Be more understanding and understand That The Bible is verey hard to swallow with this generation.

Hope I did not upset any one..But thease are my experiences with Churches and I have been turned off amny times. We are supposed to spread the word but the way we do it is almost a force fed meathod sometimes.

Recently I was on a Christian Forum and expressed some feelings simular to the ones above...You should have seen the lashing out ..Is this christian type behavior? What would Jesus do? Bite my head off?? I think Not.

Hope i was more of a help then a pesky menace. Good Luck.

I understand what you are saying, yes we are to go on faith, child-like faith. That faith tells us that the word of God is true and factual. Just because there are portions that men cannot understand does not make it less factual.

Hello Young Megatron,

You appear to be angry at something. You've made some good points and some bad points. I'll give you a short answer for now and must get some rest.

First, nobody asks a lost person to put their faith in the human beings attending a brick and mortar building. If they did, it would get them nothing. Only Faith in JESUS CHRIST brings Salvation, and there is no hypocrisy or any other human weakness in JESUS CHRIST. The problems you mentioned about people are normally excuses by the lost to avoid making decisions about CHRIST.

Second, the Holy Bible is FACT, complete TRUTH, and the WORD of GOD. There aren't any errors or contradictions in the Holy Bible, just errors by men in interpreting it. However, you are right that faith is required for Salvation because you can't go back and watch the crucifixion of Christ yourself and see HIM rise from the dead on the third day. Many people place more faith in the weatherman than they do the Holy Bible, and that's why they're still lost. The devil doesn't want people to believe the Holy Bible, and faith in JESUS CHRIST is the devil's worst nightmare. The Holy Bible isn't just a literary masterpiece, rather it is the WORD of GOD. The devil will try to instill as much doubt as possible, including the use of scientists. BUT, the FACTS and COMPLETE TRUTH of the Holy Bible remain FACTS and COMPLETE TRUTH.

As I said, you made many valid points about people, but faith in people means nothing in terms of Salvation. I must add that would include all people, including you, me, and your pastor. The thing that really makes a lot of lost people mad is the realization that they are depraved sinners and are in desperate need of a Saviour. BUT, this is good because one of the first steps to Salvation is the knowledge and consequences of sin. All of mankind is in the same boat, and JESUS is the only one who can help us.

Some of what you said about judgment is right and some is wrong. It really depends on the circumstances. As an example, Christians are to judge what is right and wrong according to the Bible for many reasons, but I'll mention just one. All Christians should want to be a living testimony for CHRIST and be a good example so as not to create the stumbling blocks that you mentioned about hypocrisy. Being a Christian should be 24/7, but all of them are still humans, regardless of how hard they try. I'll add another short example: Christians should never call evil good. One of the principles of JESUS and the Holy Bible is to hate sin and love the sinner. We all have sin of our own to hate. Again, this is a reason why we are all in desperate need of a Saviour.

I hope this helped some.

Love In Christ,
Tom

John 14:6-7 NASB  Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."

YM,

First off, welcome to CU.  I would welcome you over in the other section...but I think here is just as good as any.

I am uncertain of some of the points you are trying to make.  But let me address a couple

You are absolutely correct.  What was true for the Jews in Romans is true of Christians.  By our actions the name of God may be blasphemed amongst the Gentiles.

I know fashion has passed me by...when the hair started to drop out and the gut started to push out I knew my clothes were shrinking.  And that the days of fashion were gone :)

when the musics too  loud..your too old
When everyone has to listen to your music because it is so loud and you do not show respect enough to turn it down.  Who then truly has the problem?

Expression and Influence is a huge factor in todays youth/young adults.
Expression and Influence has always been a factor in youth and young adults.  It is a matter of what influence and what expressions.  It is not a matter of "conforming" to what mom and dad say, but a matter of what God has written.  Jesus should be our influence and what Jesus has done in our life should be our expression.

And Quit pretending the Bible is a Fact. Its not a Fact. we beleive through our Faith. Most Faith is  "tought faith". We are conditioned and trained to beleive. It dont happen over night. Now here is a problem.  The only reason the Bible is hard to swallow for anyone young or old is because they do not want to swallow it.  They want to live their own way and set their own rules.  They want to be "influenced" by whomever they want and "express" themselves however they feel.

This is the essence of the original sin.  It was not just a factor of disobedience but that Adam and Eve have injected their own will over that of God.  They defined what was good and what was evil.  They decided that eating of the fruit was not truly evil thus they ate.  However God had already defined that evil is disobedience to God.  And it is still that way today.
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  If the Word was not true then it was not perfect.  If it is not perfect then God is not perfect.  If God is not perfect then He is not God.  Since He is God then He is perfect.  Since He is perfect then the Word is perfect.  Since the Word is perfect then it is true.
John 8:45 "And  because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not"  Again Jesus said that He is telling the truth.  If He was not then He is a liar.  If He is a liar then God is a liar.  God cannot be a liar.  Thus it is true.
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" See above because Jesus not only said he was telling the truth but that He WAS the truth.  Thus God is truth as well.  Thus the Word of God is truth as well.

And no a lashing is not always a Christian thing to do.  And I can only address your concerns, questions, and feelings with that which God has provided through His truth in the Bible.  Again welcome to Christians Unite.  I can only pray that you will find answers in the truth and that being in Jesus.

Sincerely
Brother Jerry

Amen brother.

Unfortunately many take the instruction in the word of God as being a lashing even when it is given in all love. We are given scripture for a purpose, "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness". It is God's word for us and none of it is less than fact.

Rom 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2Ti 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Luk 4:4  And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

While my dislike for tatoos is known.  I will admit that those with tatoos, can sometimes witness to to others outside of the Church.

These are the people that need help.  They must learn forgivness........ as a baby, one must drink milk, before one can eat meat.  These are people that are trying to eat meat, while they can only drink milk.
