Title: Mystery illnesses and depression. Post by: islandgirl on August 17, 2006, 01:07:11 AM Hi, Thanx for having me on the forum. I'm not quite sure why but for the past few weeks, I have been waking up strangely depressed and unable to face going to work. I am usually very chirpy in the morning and view my workplace as the ultimate place to be a light in the way I work and not so much in preaching to everyone. For the past five weeks I have missed work at least once in a week because I wake up feeling like I cant go on living, the funny thing is the minute I get to work I love it at work..its just the getting to work bit that is so depressing plus I seem to be coming down with mysterious illnesses almost every week that really help make me feel worse. I feel like there is some thing very simple that I am missing out on that is causing this and would be grateful for prayers and advice if anyone else has been through this and emerged victorious!!

I have found that when I first wake up that if I praise and thank God for the day, spend some time with Him in prayer and study that it makes the day start out so much better.

Title: Re: Mystery illnesses and depression. Post by: nChrist on August 17, 2006, 04:58:07 AM Hello IslandGirl,
WELCOME! (http://www.sirinet.net/~blkidps/welcome.gif) I honestly think that many Christians are feeling down and depressed about all of the evil and bad things happening in the world right now. It appears that the devil is working overtime and bombarding Christians from every angle. I will be praying for you, and I know that every Christian should pray for other Brothers and Sisters in Christ every day. Sister, I've had similar feelings. It just seems that the devil is winning, regardless of what we do or not do. We are both in error by thinking this way because our citizenship is in Heaven. JESUS CHRIST will defeat all evil at HIS Appointed time, and what we desperately need to do is "KEEP OUR EYES ON JESUS". Christians should be the happiest people in the world because we are the children of the KING OF KINGS. We also know about eternity with JESUS, so we are not like the lost men and women without any hope for tomorrow. Regardless of what happens tomorrow, JESUS is with us and we belong to HIM for eternity. We are just humans, so all of the evil and world events do have a negative effect on us. We need to remember that our strength and joy is in JESUS, not ourselves. This is easier said than done, but we all know that KEEPING OUR EYES AND HEARTS ON JESUS is the answer. Love In Christ, Tom Romans 8:31-32 NASB What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Title: Re: Mystery illnesses and depression. Post by: Rob on August 17, 2006, 06:38:20 PM Hi Islandgirl,
This may be alittle lengthy but please read through it. I'm currently reading "The Blood and The Glory" by Billye Brim This is an excerpt from her book which is an excerpt from Mrs.C. Nuzum's teaching entitled "Resisting The devil". Faith in the Blood of Jesus, and what God has said in his Word when exercised in testimony against the devil, will always cause him to flee. First Peter 5:9 says, we are to be steadfast in resisting the devil. We are never once to think he can remain or keep evil upon us, because God has said that if we resist him he will flee, and God's Word cannot fail. So there is only one thing to see to, and that is to resist the devil until he goes, be the time long or short... Your own mouth can hasten the victory greatly. God says in Mark 11:23, you shall have what you say if you do not doubt, Say, "I refuse to have this sickness", no matter how much Satan tries to make you feel or see it... The Word tells us that the Blood overcomes Satan and that he does flee. Plant your feet upon these truths, use the remedy and never relax until victory comes. It must come because God has said it will... I arose one morning and found that I could not stand, I reeled like a drunkard. I said, "This is of you Satan; I hold the Blood against you, and declare on God's Word that it now does over come you, and that you do now flee." The enemy was stubborn, but I continued to believe and repeat what I said until every trace of the trouble was gone. I then did a full day's hard work, and have had no return of the evil... I found that as I continually meet Satan with the blood, and never release until he flees, the Blood works quickly and more powerfully.I am sure it will do the same for you dear reader, if you will set to your seal that God is true, that the Blood is infallible, and his promises sure. Galatians 6:9 says, "Be not weary... for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." God's time is now, and, if you are right, you should have immediate victory; but you must begin with a fixed purpose never to stop until you have full victory. Jesus won it for you on the cross, and all you have to do is to hold fast without a doubt, or waver, or weakening until it is felt and seen. God the Almighty One says you shall reap if you do not faint--which means ceasing to believe and to resist, or becoming less earnest and persistent. The more stubborn Satan is, the more earnest and persistent you must be. Again the above is an excerpt from Mrs. C. Nuzum's book "Resisting the Devil". This is an excerpt from Billye Brim's book "The Blood and The Glory". PSALM 107:2 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Pleading the Blood with our mouths lines up with Scripture. The Bible instructs us to say that we are redeemed. If the enemy tries to put the curse on you, say that you are redeemed from the curse of the law. Say, for example: "I am redeemed from the curse of the law. You can't put that (name it) on me. According to Deuteronomy 28:61 all sickness is the curse of the law. But according to Galatians 3:13 I am redeemed from the curse of the law and I say so. I am redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. I overcome you Satan, By the Blood of the Lamb and by the power of my testimony." Let the redeemed of the Lord say so! That is pleading the Blood! Islandgirl, I faithfully believe that if you plead the Blood of the Lamb you will be set free of this attack on you. Believe, say it morning and night and don't give in until you are free. Remember Satan will be stubborn. After all that, also play your favorite Christian radio station all night while you sleep. I do this and often wake up singing some of my favorite songs. I fall asleep instantly after the song and Wake up in the morning refreshed. I will also be pleading the Blood of the Lamb for you. Your Brother in Christ, Rob Title: Re: Mystery illnesses and depression. Post by: Rookieupgrade1 on August 18, 2006, 06:36:33 AM Hi Islandgirrl,
