Title: What about Television Filtering? Post by: marylanza on August 09, 2006, 06:59:15 PM I noticed a post talking about a new radio chip. What about television?
Are there any options out there (besides turning off the tv or throwing it away) that can filter out the stuff that's on tv these days? Although somewhat limited in their ability they do allow you to block certain rated shows. (ie MA, PG, etc).
Often you would have to work with your cable provider on these since they are using the digital cable route. I believe DirectTV and such are doing this as well. As I have Direct Tv yes they do have this filtering. You can choose to lock a channel out, and the ratings control goes from "NR, G, PG, PG-13, NR-Content, R, NR-Mature, NC-17."Sincerely Brother Jerry |
