Title: The Power of God's Word
Post by: Soldier4Christ on May 27, 2006, 07:43:13 PM
Mat 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

2Ti 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Hos 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Rom 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Joh 17:17  Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

1Pe 1:22  Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Gal 1:8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

1Pe 1:25  But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Mat 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Please feel free to post additional verses on the poer of God's word.

How Powerful is God's Word.

He spoke and the light came shining through,

Ge 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

                                     ********************

He spoke a second time and the waters divided.

Ge 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

                                        ******************

God spoke again and the dry land appeared.

Ge 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

                                          *****************

And God spoke again, and vegetation appeared.

Ge 1:11 And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so.

                                          *****************

And God spoke yet again, and the stars, the moon and the sun appeared.

Ge 1:14 And God said, Let ther e be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:

                                           *****************

Yes, God spoke yet again, and the fish and all living creatures of the waters appeared, and all the birds that fly appeared.

Ge 1:20 And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

                                            ****************

And God spoke and the creatures of the earth came forth.

Ge 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kind: and it was so.

                                            *****************

God's Word is so powerful, that what He says instantly happens. That is why God cannot lie, His Word is creative anything He says comes to pass. He watches over His Word to perform it.

God's Holy Word has surely been
Inspired of God and not of men;
No power or eloquence of men
could ere conceive God's wondrous plan.
Withstanding all the tests of time,
It stands unchanged, unique, sublime;
Proving to every tongue and race,
God's wisdom, mercy, love, and grace.
So hammer on, ye hostile hands;
Your hammers break, God's anvil stands.

 Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
