in the name of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, I'm new here and I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to you all. I'm excited to be onboard and look forward to interacting with you all. The site looks great and I'll have my work cut out for me catching up on some previous threads that look very interesting, as well as contributing to the cause myself. My Background: I accepted Jesus as my Savior at 14 years old (1977), but then went off into the world of secular music after high school trying to "make it" in the music business. Though I lived a very wordly life with everything that goes along with being a musician (yes, all the stories are true), God never let me go completely over the edge. He protected me from some unbelievable, and sometimes life-threatening circumstances, and never gave up on me. I have felt the presence of the angels He sent to rescue me, and I would never be able repay the love and kindness He has shown me. After nearly 20 years of living the musicians life, Jesus stepped back into my life, took control, and led me away from it. With a very clear message from the Father, I put on my armor and accepted the task He asked of me. The music of my Christ Brigade project is just the beginning of this commision, there is much more to come. I will fight the good fight, I will finish the race, I will keep and defend the faith with every last ounce of my strength. Welcome to Christians Unite. It sounds as though you have had an interesting life with some wonderful testimonies for our Lord and Saviour. I am looking forward to seeing more of your posts. I have much the same story, well the music part anyway, just not as long, 7 years! I always find it interesting the twists and turns in life, where the Lord is leading us and what role our past plays. For me it was all simply this: "Eventually he saw he had been running to Christ, and flight from the past had been one of the means used by God to propel him forward."
