Title: Prayer for our ministry Post by: mikeandronda on May 02, 2006, 04:41:08 PM Ok heres the deal........I have been working with street kids on and off for the last 4-5 years. First as a youth Pastor in Lacrosse Wisconsin now I am part of a ministry called Club Adonai Ministries located in Springfield, Missouri that plans to provide a safe, Christian atmosphere where people of all ages and denominations can come to ¡§hang out¡¨ and fellowship with others without being exposed to drugs, alcohol and smoking. Our future goal is to start, build and run a state of the art inter-denominational Christian "night"Club that caters to all ages and to Christians and Non-Christians alike. Well and much more, but thats a start
At this time we are partnering along with Glad Tidings Church, Relevant student ministries and Springfield Masters Commission ministries to help bring teens and young adults off the streets and give them an alternative to the unhealthy entertainment venues that are so rampant in the city. We are planning our first event at a church that has sponsored us and is letting us use their all purpose gym/kitchen/stage area, and our first event will be a Christian Rave. We are in need of many things to get this going, the most importiant would be prayer......... I know that there are people here who have worked in youth ministries and maybe have had some experience dealing with all the politics that seem to over take some thing like this. I really need allot of advise and I am hoping somebody here might be of any kind of help.......I would love to send anybody our vision so far and have you pick it apart so I will include my email for you to email me. The thing is that I have learned that the most important things we will need is prayer and to have faith in God. This is so much bigger than anybody involved and the only way it will ever work is if God does it for us by guiding our steps¡K¡K.please pray for us and thank you for reading my post.
