There are 30 books of the Bible in this paragraph. Can you find them? This is a most remarkable puzzle. It was found by a gentleman in an airplane seat pocket, on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping him occupied for hours. He enjoyed it so much, he passed it on to some friends. One friend from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat. Another friend studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Taylor, a columnist friend, was so intrigued by it she mentioned it in her weekly newspaper column. Another friend judges the job of solving this puzzle so involving, she brews a cup of tea to help her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot. That's a fact. Some people, however, will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. Truthfully, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or a scholar to see some of them at the worst. Research has shown that something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have in seeing the books in this paragraph. During a recent fund raising event, which featured this puzzle, the Alpha Delta Phi lemonade booth set a new record. The local paper, The Chronicle, surveyed over 200 patrons who reported that this puzzle was one of the most difficult they had ever seen. As Daniel Humana humbly puts it, "The books are all right here in plain view hidden from sight." Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation that may help is that books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers. Also, keep in mind, that punctuation and spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete really well against those who claim to know the answers. Remember, there is no need for a mad exodus; there really are 30 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph waiting to be found. God Bless.

  So far I found 19, but I have a question, if you find one that has 2 or more books by the same name with a number like first or second do they count as one or can they count for the amount of books individually?

So if you find 1 Timothy and 2 Timothy then you have found two books.

Nope PR tht counts as one book each. I have found all 30 books. Timothy and Samuel, are 2 of the 30 books. Let me know if y'all want the answers, I will PM them to ya.

No, Timothy is one book, and Samuel is one book.

Ok, give me at least a day and I'll try to find all 30, but my eyesight gets worse towards the end of the day so I might have to wait till tomorrow morning, then I'll have to yell 'UNCLE'

I want to try doing it without the computer's help. It might take a little more effort but I will probably be a little more satisfied knowing that I did it without the computer.  ::)

So far I got 25 without computer help. :P   I am going to try for the other 5 when I get back from the doctor today.

DW don't you know? my computer crashed.  :(  A transformer blew near my house and I think it either fried the motherboard or the power supply (I'm oping it's the latter) all my info is on my computer, whic isn't seeing any of my drives, and I'm having to use my husband's laptop. I don't really care for lap tops, but that's what I have for now. Last count I had 25 and I had then on my clipboard.  :-\

I wish I was there I could help you out on your computer. So of the older power suppy units have a fuse in them, so you might want to have that checked. It could be the fuse blew. that will cost about a buck, to replace.

All the computers, I built durning december, I put a fuse link into them, to protect the computer. One of the reasons, I won't buy a off shelf computer. Most of them today don't have that fuse, or a fuseable link in them.   But that depends on how old, your computer is sister.

My computer is a brand new one, but when I ordered the tower I got one with a circuit breaker/power surge switch built into it.

All you have to do is reset the breaker. ;D

My husband built my computer, he upgrades it for me as needed, he really hasn;t had achance to look at it yet, but hopefully tonight when he gets home from work he'll be able to fix it. I'm almost certain it was the power supply, but I also think it was due for a new fan too. I just pray it wasn't the motherboard cause that means I'll have to wait a few weeks  :'( :(

Sorry I took so long, DW. I couldn't find it I don't know where I put it or if I still have it. I have 4 hard drives on this thing, cause both my husband and I use it for church related work, and personal work and study. I'm still looking for it/

I have found 29, but I have a question.  I printed this out and my copies paragraph and lines are longer ( more characters and spaces per line ) ... soooo will this cause a problem in finding the last one? Cause I am not having much luck... LOL

After I go to the garage, get my new printer out and installed, copy, paste, and print so I can hightlight and remember which ones I found ;D
