WOW! - You ask hard questions!  :D  (Small Print:  Especially when you are asking grandpas).

I have posted something on that, but I think that it was in a limited category (i.e. Salvation). There would be many promises throughout the Bible in a variety of categories. I don't know if anyone has tried the new search engine on the new forum software, but I guess that now would be a good time to try it. What I don't know is whether or not older messages are indexed for search or not.

Let's try it. I'll get back with you in a little bit.

I'm really glad that you asked this question.

The new search engine is GREAT!! Just type in "promises" in the search box near the top of the page - right over the "Home" button. You don't even need to try the advanced search. I got 4 solid pages of messages with sample text for each of them. I didn't see anything that looked like a Summary of all the Promises of God, but you might get close by copying portions of what you need from the posts that look the best.

The new search engine is 10 times better than the old one, and all of the messages on the forum are indexed. IT'S GREAT!!! AND EASY!!!

I'll also look on my hard drive for something regarding Promises of God, but I'm almost sure that the ones I posted about related to Salvation.

I was bored one day, so I counted the verses in my Bible. 31,102 verses in the King James Bible.  It would be Psalm 104:16 The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly and are filled with sap, the cedars of Lebanon which He has planted,
Though it is argued how many verses are in the Bible, so here is the most common, for you sister, Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

This word occurs three times in the KJV as the translation of three different Hebrew words: (1.) 1 Sam. 17:18, "ten cheeses;" i.e., ten sections of curd. (2.) 2 Sam. 17:29, "cheese of kine" = perhaps curdled milk of kine. The Vulgate version reads "fat calves." (3.) Job 10:10, curdled milk is meant by the word. :P

It depends on which version of the Bible that you use. Those that have the same number of verses as the KJV it would be Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

No brother, the Bible is not silent on this subj. The Bible classifies things differently than most scientists do. Check in Leviticus and Deuteronomy.

Noah did not place the animals on the arc. The Lord led the animals to the arc.

PR the word is "Last" it is mentioned 3 times only and all 3 in the Book of Revelations 1:17; 2:8; & 22:13.

The exact words; "I am the first, and I am the last" is also used three times in the book of Isaiah as well as three times in Revelations (KJV). However the words Alpha and Omega are Greek that are used for First and last also.

Many people say that Jesus was just a man while here on earth. He was indeed fully man, but He was also fully God, men cannot be perfect, for only God can be perfect and Jesus Christ was the perfect sacrifice for our sins, He was without sin, without a blemish.

The bat (singular) is mentioned in both Leviticus and in Deuteronomy as being Fowl not mammal. Scientists, especially those supporting evolution, classify living things differently than does God. God says that bats are fowl:

Luke. He wrote this gospel for Gentiles, emphasizing that Jesus' message was for the world, tracing Jesus' ancestry to Adam, father of the human race. Matthew wrote to Jewish readers, tracing Jesus' ancestry to Abraham, father of that nation.

Hosea. During the downfall of Israel, Hosea reminded his nation of their history, beginning with their "childhood" sojourn and exodus from Egypt (11:1), paralleling the events in the Messiah's childhood.

The book of Psalms does contain much in prophecy.
