Racers For Christ,

I went to your site last night and must tell you THANKS! I give thanks for everyone who treats our young men and women in the Armed Services with the respect, thanks, kindness, and love that they richly deserve.

I'm proud that the majority of our country are trying to do the same. It shouldn't be just in times of war, but every day. Our love and respect should obviously extend to their families who sacrifice so much for a loved one to preserve our way of life and freedoms.

The main thing I want to do is tell you that I love you in Christ and appreciate what you are doing from the bottom of my heart.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Brothers and Sisters,

To our regulars here:

By now, it should be painfully obvious that we have several trolls loose on the forum right now. Your discussions with them will not seem right for more than one reason. First, trolls aren't known for much more intelligence than it takes to eat. Beyond that, they are confused. Second, reasonable discussions with others is not on their agenda. Third, they should never be allowed to take a break or rest since they forget everything they've learned between breaks.   Grin

We have at least 3 trolls on the forum right now, and they all arrived at approximately the same time. They really made it so painfully obvious that I would say they are trolls in training. They aren't smart enough to be graduates of troll boot camp, and I seriously doubt they will graduate without tons of remedial training. They really need to raise the standards for troll recruiting, as these are just short of being as smart as a billiard ball.   Grin

They're cute in a funny sort of way, but they don't make good pets.   Grin  It's absolutely impossible to house-break them.

Moderator

P.S. These are so sad, they're a comedy team. They're here to make fun of us, but things have back-fired. I don't think that I've ever seen a troll team humiliate themselves so quickly and easily. These would be the type that think they are hidden when they put their hands over their eyes.  Grin

Euthanasia

By Paul M. Sadler, President

Scripture Reading:

"It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."    -- Hebrews 9:27

It is our firm conviction that every believer in Christ should strongly oppose euthanasia on the grounds that it runs contrary to the revealed will of God.  Euthanasia is the deliberate act of prematurely terminating the life of someone who is hopelessly ill.  This is normally achieved through the controlled inhalation of carbon monoxide, by a lethal injection of drugs or withholding nourishment. Those who are advocates of this unwholesome rationale believe that it is morally acceptable to end the pain and suffering of a loved one whose life would otherwise be meaningless.  In the name of compassion Michigan's infamous "Dr. Death" has assisted in many such suicides, proclaiming himself to be an angel of mercy.

Thankfully most physicians still hold to the Hippocratic oath, which states that every effort should be made to preserve life.  But even more importantly, man has no moral right to terminate a life that has been given by God.  It has been appropriately said: "Suicide doesn't end the pain, it only lays it on the broken shoulders of the survivors."  Many seem to have forgotten that it is God "in whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind" (Job 12:10).  We sympathize, of course, with any family who has a loved one who is terminally ill.  Nevertheless, to cut that life short may send them to a Christless eternity when they might have otherwise believed before their natural death.  Also, we may never know how many souls in the medical profession have been saved because they were in the presence of a dying saint or family member who was faithful in sharing Christ.  The Lord's consolation at such times is "MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE!"

BigD,

Nice try again, but my answer to you remains the same, "No thanks."  You need to find someone who likes to argue for vanity purposes and/or semantics. I don't like either, so count me out. If someone comes along who fills your needs, I'm sure they will let you know. In fact, we might try to get the two of you together in a thread, sell tickets, and have some entertainment.   Cheesy

In case you are wondering, my last post to you still stands, word for word.

Tom

Sapphire W34P0N,

I have the answer about who's been here the longest:

There used to be user records, but much was lost in several major events, the hacking event probably being the worst one.

Even with all of the user records, many people have been on and off of the forum with different user names after the major events. I could be wrong, but I think that Sincereheart and Symphony have consistently used the same name, even after major system events.

WELCOME BACK ROBERT!

In answer to your question, my family and I had a wonderful Christmas in the LORD. God has richly blessed my family, and I pray that the same is true for all Christians everywhere.

Every new day belongs to the LORD and so does this new year of 2005. I hope and pray that we all yield to the LORD and do HIS Will for however many days and hours he gives us. All praise and Glory for the LORD.

THE LAW AND THE WRATH OF GOD

By Cornelius R. Stam

Romans 4:15 clearly states that "the law worketh wrath," but so many people, it seems, do not wish to see this. Even some clergymen tell us that God gave the Law to help us to be good, when God Himself says the very opposite; that it was given to show us that we are bad and need a Savior. "The law worketh wrath." Every criminal knows this and every sinner should know it, for the Bible has much to say on the subject. Rom. 3:19,20 declares that the Law was given "that every mouth may be stopped, and that all the world may be brought in guilty before God," and this passage goes on to say: "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin."

II Cor. 3:7,9 calls the Law "the ministration of condemnation" and "the ministration of death." Gal. 3:10 says that those who are "of the works of the law," i.e., who seek to make themselves acceptable to God by keeping the Law, "are under a curse," because the Law can only condemn them.

Those who approach God, expecting eternal life in return for "good works" are offering Him their terms -- which He will never accept. God will not sell justification to those already under condemnation for sin. But He does offer sinners complete justification by grace because:

"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written; cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree"  (Gal. 3:13).

Thank God, those who trust in Christ, "having redemption, through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Eph. 1:7), "being justified, freely by His [God’s] grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Rom. 3:24).

I'm sorry to hear you got bit by a rat terrier. It sounds like it wasn't trained properly. My little rat terrier hasn't bitten anyone. He just licks them to death. Buster is his name and as I said he is my helper. He fetches things for me that I can't reach, turns ceiling lights on and off for me. If I fall asleep at night before turning the TV off he even does that before he jumps into bed next to me.

Wow! And he does all this for Kibbles?  Cheesy

Nope. Room and board. The best of food including steak. I don't even get steak! And a great medical plan, too.

Pastor Roger,

Brother, it sounds like your dog has it almost as rough as mine do. I have one 14 and one 13, and they have loved me unconditionally all of their lives. They've also been my companions during times of illness, but they don't know how to do anything to help me except love me. In return, I will love them and take care of them in the most humane way for the rest of their lives. They both just interrupted me to be petted.   Cheesy

Love In Christ,

I apologize in advance for disturbing the serious theme in this topic...
But I've gotten several emails trying to prove that Barney, Santa Claus and several politicians are all qualified to become the next Antichrist (their names add up to 666), and I know that William Shakespeare (employed by the king as a secret agent) modified scripture to be politically correct (we know this because in Psalm 46, counting 46 words from the beginning, one comes upon the word "shake", and counting 46 words backwards from the end, one comes upon the word "spear", despite the fact that this same coincidence appeared in versions translated before Shakespeare was born)...

Willowbirch,

Grin  What a breath of fresh air. I've been a good boy so far this year, and it would really upset me if Santa Claus turns out to be the Anti-Christ.   Grin

Thanks sister - I needed that laugh.

Sister Reba,

I love you and your posts, so please keep posting. You are my sister in Christ, and our disagreement on this issue doesn't make me love you any less. This is a pleasant discussion, and I will be studying your posts just as much as any other post. So, post away and know that your points are worthy of study.

My main point is that I love you in Christ, and I love to read and study all of your posts.

God is omnipotent; therefore He alone held, and still holds the power to define exactly what is considered as sin. I would think that he defined sin as all of the things that He himself would never do.
Just my 2 cents worth.

AMEN LENNYTOO!

That's an excellent two cents worth. Almighty God is perfect, HOLY, without spot, without blemish, and without sin. He is the HOLY of HOLIES and can't lie, break a promise, or sin. Man can't define the HOLY that pertains to Almighty God. Only God can do that. HE is the CREATOR and we are part of HIS CREATION. The only true definition of Almighty God is given in HIS WORD. Those who love HIM will simply give thanks that JESUS rescued us from the curse of sin and death. A comparison between Almighty God and us involves direct opposites in every regard. YET, JESUS died for us, the THE JUST FOR THE UNJUST!, THE HOLY FOR THE UNHOLY!, PERFECTION FOR IMPERFECTION!, LIGHT FOR DARKNESS!

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!

Love In Christ,
Tom
