We bury God's voice in paper,
arguments, shouting so loud that His voice,
His quiet voice
cannot be heard above human cacophony.

We have decided to kill God, to follow Nietzsche,
but with less honesty -
we are the armies of God, God-haters all
proponents and enemies of grace.

We love to argue - I am right, you are wrong,
on pointless dissensions - should I light a candle?
what is the true name of Jesus?
Vain arguments and long.

Be quiet! Tired old windbags, be silent,
listen, try to hear the voice of God
and not your own.
He waits for you patiently, always.

Seek.

And God will say:
Depart from me I never knew you!
I never knew you!
Never.

Man disavows, and Deity disowns me:
Hell might afford my miseries a shelter;
Therefore Hell keeps her ever-hungry mouths all
Bolted against me.
