Title: Promise of our Lord and Savior
Post by: hhogletree on December 19, 2011, 10:44:28 AM
Promise of our Lord and Savior
Bible study by Herbert H Ogletree

Promise of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
Saint Matthew 1:19- Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
1:20- But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
1:21- And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Saint Luke 2:15- And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them  and into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
2:16- And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
2:17- And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

Our most grases Heavenly Father of love
Saint Matthew 6:13- And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
6:14- For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

I Have  heard many say that they thought that Heaven was going to be a very boredom place, and with nothing to do but praise God. I’m afraid that if anyone find Heaven bore domed that it will be our Godhead, with all our saints being there in Heaven and having so much to praise and glorify our God for that God will be luckier if he can get a chance  to sleep a word in. or even zigzag a word in.

The Father and his Son of our Salvation,
                                with Christ saying.
Saint John 12:28- Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
12:29- The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it was thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
12:30- Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sake.

The crucifixion and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ                                                                                                                                                                on the cross, coming only by the hands of the son of man.
Saint John 19:23- Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
19:24- They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

The recreation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ coming only by the will of our almighty one and only God.
Saint John 20:1- The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
20:2- Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

Mans building their foundation only upon the earth, from and with  the Glory to and by our  Godhead.
First Corinthians 15:47- The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
15:48- As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
15:49- And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Paying recognition to the apostle and Saints of our Godhead, that are now still here on earth.
Ephesians 1:1-Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
1:2- Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who   hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
1:4-According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
1:5- Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
1:6-To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Dedicated to our few faithful which we still have  here on earth working for nothing but for the great glory of our one and only Godhead of Heaven.
Hebrews 4:11-Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
4:12- For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
4:13- Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
4:14- Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession
4:15- For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin..
4:16- Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Discusting this the word of God among ourselves is a very wonderful thing, but that is only when they are coming only from the will and boldness of our wonderful Godhead. But we can not  think that we can outlaw any part of his written words within our discussion, that is when it is coming straight from within the Bible or the sac art word of our Godhead.
That can only be when and only then when they are coming  from  nothing but from within the written words of God, but we can’t outlaw or discard any part and then exspect our God to be happy about anything like this when we ourselves find ourselves discarding any part of his word, we can also expect God and knowing that he shall also have this the last word.

I must point out that Jesus Christ was never created or recreated. Jesus Christ arose from the dead - resurrected - not recreated. Jesus Christ has no beginning and no end and is Eternal, one with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.

John 20:9 KJV  For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

John 1:1-3 KJV  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2  The same was in the beginning with God.  3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

1 Timothy 3:16 KJV  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Tom, We find in St. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
So Tom this show that God begotten the son, but Christ was before the world. God the Father is one with no beginning are end.

You have a serious error in your beliefs, and it's a fundamental truth that you reject. You've made far too much of one word that you don't understand and/or have misapplied. You need to go back and learn the basics of the Holy Trinity. There are Three Holy Deities in the Eternal Godhead:

1st Person - God the Father
2nd Person - God the Son (Jesus Christ - The Word)
3rd Person - God the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost)

Yet the Three are One. The Three are the Creators - not the created, and the Three are Eternal with no beginning and no ending. Jesus Christ is God.

Philippians 2:5-11 KJV  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  6  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  7  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  11  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1 John 5:7 KJV  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

NChrist, I do believe in the Holy Trinity. The Father God, The Son God (Jesus), and The Holy Ghost God.  I also take the word of the Bible when God said " His only begotten Son".

... and yet they are one. Not only is Jesus correctly referred to as the Son but He is also correctly referred to as The Lord, God with us, The Creator of all things, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, Almighty God is He, and many other titles/descriptions that are reserved for God and only God.

This may be an overly simple understanding, but I have always taken "...that He gave His only 'Begotten' Son..." as meaning 'being born of a woman'. (or being 'begat' of a woman)What I am trying to say is taking the Bible as a 'whole' and having read Genesis and the 'begats'; this was the only way that God's Divine Nature and man's could become One. The only way the Word could become flesh. So Jesus is God, our Father's Perfect Offspring on earth.
I said simple, didn't I? My apologies. 'Understandings' are very hard to put into words. There is a simple, perfect beauty in Jesus's Birth.
Thought provoking, Thank You!
