Mary had a little lamb,

His fleece was white as snow.

And everywhere that Mary went,

The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed her to school each day,

T'wasn't even in the rule.

It made the children laugh and play,

To have a Lamb at school.

And then the rules all changed one day,

Illegal it became;

To bring the Lamb of God to school,

Or even speak His Name.! ;

Every day got worse and worse,

And days turned into years.

Instead of hearing children laugh,

We heard gun shots and tears.

What! must we do to stop the crime,

That's in our schools today?

Let's let the Lamb come back to school,

And teach our kids to pray!

If you agree, please pass this on

It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I
have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess
about having "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in
the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we just tell the 14% to

shut up and sit down????If you agree, pass this on, if not
delete...

"Why don't we just tell the 14% to shut up and sit down?Huh"

I usually don't like to use words like this, but...you're a total moron.

What a wonderful attitude to have - "My way is right because I said so...so everyone who doesn't agree with me should go to Hell!!"  Oh wait...where have I heard *that* before?? Tongue  That's right.  Y'all know what I'm talking about.

I'm wasting valuable energy just typing the words to respond to your horrendous post.  Get some common sense and some decency.  Somehow, I just can't picture Jesus saying "Why don't you all sit down and shut up!!!"  Am I wrong in thinking this?

And by the way, prayer out of schools is a good thing.  So leave it alone.

It's things like this that make me wonder how the human race has survived for so long.

"Your Silly"

At least I know how to spell.  I know the difference between "your" and "you're", and when to use each word.  I know that the only word that is capitalized in sentenced is the first word and certain pronouns and proper nouns.  I also know that sentences end with periods.

Guess I'm not so "silly".

I'm beginning to wonder if you're intentionally trying to be an idiot, or if it just comes naturally.

Way to respond like a normal, sensible human being.

With you know...thought.

Oklahoma Howdy to AAAA,

There is a reasonable solution for all, one that we had for almost 200 years. Public schools were Christian schools with Bibles on every desk. Those that didn't like it went to private schools. Your school taxes might be able to fund that, but I'm sure we would be happy to subsidize it. Then we would all be happy. Let us know if this makes you happy and we'll get the ball rolling.

Well we have a pretty good system now, I think.  There is education in school, and that's it.  If you go to public school, you get an education.  If you wish for a religious education as well, you go to church.  Should you wish to kill two birds with one stone, you go to private school.

School is for education.

Church is for religious education.

Everyone must learn the former...but only those who wish should learn the latter.

Oklahoma Howdy to AAAAmember,

That would be only your opinion, opposite from the opinion of the vast majority. I believe this is part of what's wrong with this country today. Too many pass the buck when it comes to the important subjects in education (i.e. morals, values, ethics, right, wrong, principles, and other Biblical teaching). I say that the school, the Church, and the parents should all be doing that job. A comparison between the American society of 1940 and now is like comparing a cartoon with a porn movie. Many other things came with the moral decline that have an equally shocking comparison (i.e. crime rates, murder, suicide, teen pregnancy, and on, and on). If it was an experiment with society, it failed in a horrible way.

Knowing how to read or do math is of little importance if the person is either doped out of their mind or sitting in prison because nobody taught little Johnny right from wrong.

I agree--Mr. Ambassador4Christ.  I wish that the morals and values that were taught in school, came back.  I feel that we would have a strong, focused nation.  (not that we need to divide nations anymore, but to return to what America was founded on)  And now that I think about it.. they had such strong values back then because they did allow the Bible and prayer into schools.

Now, I feel like teachers are teaching worldly materialistic values. "I can't teach because I don't have any supplies.  I need new books.  I need more..."

Teachers use to only need a chalkborad and the knowledge that is in their heads.  And from there, they made students think.  Now, it seems like they want to just barely pass by in classes and move the students on, instead of making students think/brainstorm/and grow as well rooted people of God.

It seems to me that the 14% of people who would rather not have God or the Word in our schools, should listen and allow such values in schools.  They should realize that there is a good and a bad (common sense?--maybe not) and that to grow into well-rounded, prosperous individuals, we need to know these things--not avoid them.  They should sit back and listen and try to understand just a little bit.  Especially this day in age: We need to be awake!!

God Bless.
