Now that the babylonian thing almost a thing of the past a reaction from the islamic world is of course is to be expected. whether you're placing the Gog thing in a 1000 year-distant future or not; by now you just *know* the current path leads to another destruction.

I have found several resources on the net that talk about an attack on the coasts of the US with at the same time some action on the ground in Israel and the surrounding countries.

I knew about the latter event, but the first totally caught me by surprise; are there also other people that can give some more info on this ?

In my view the prelude could be heard in Iraq; the US armies there are a growing consurn for the region.

If, or rather when, the Gog Magog initiative takes place they (the Jews) are also defended by armies opposing the Gog-Magog initiative. These armies have been identified as the armies of the antichrist.

In my mind, when that war happens (and i think that this might happen around the time of the epilogue of the roadmap-plan in 2005 [ http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2989783.stm ]  )

The armies defending will (ofcourse?) be the deployed US/UN peace-keeping force in the region (iraq), then maybe even occupying Israeli territory for the sake of the roadmap.

So in terms of time, within the current timeframe in the start of 2005.

In my mind the Gog-Magog invasion will look like a (big) bunch of ill-organised cannon-fodder, afterwards the world will then (even more then nowadays) ask themselves " Who is able to make war with the beast ? "

I am still gathering information. As the occupation of Iraq & surrounding coutries are a fact ( including the sheperd that tries to divide Israel )

So far I have found new information that Gog/Magog is a surprise attack that not only is aimed at Israel but also seems to be aimed at the US. The force will consist of both Islam and Russian forces; even the Chinese seem to have a hand in this.

With the babylonian war as a thing of the past the next stop seems to be the Gog/Magog war as a form of "sudden destruction that cometh upon them" ie: in the middle of a peace process. I hear lots of people that talk about the Gog/Magog as some sort of response on the anti-terrorist NWO policing actions of the US (or UN for that matter)

Some (have) see(n) the strike on the US with nuke subs; destroyed in an hour.
Confirmed information deals with a large army that marches from the north (of israel) that is halted by an earthquake.

Raphu: as far as I know the 70th week of daniel has not yet started. The week is divided by 2, giving 2x 3.5 year. I do not know why you used those long distance calculations with days as years, etc. I do wish to believe your interpretation, as we're not close from eachother concerting the dates.

When using Peter's verse you could much easier use 2000 years from the birth and ascention of Christ. But at such a long time datesetting is much, much harder as there have been changes in the calender, more on that on http://www.360calendar.com

I never said 29th marth will the end; in fact I regard the 70th week as the start of a new beginning. It's the actual fullfillment of "the day the lord hath made"

The 70th week of Daniel is brought forth by the execution of the Messiah ( as written in Daniel: "Messiah will be cut off but not for himself" )

Jesus was 33 years old when this happened, and this leaves 7 years over to fullfill

a) a 40 year long generation
b) the 70 week prophecy

This day has been prophecied by Isiah when he spoke

Isa 13:10  For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

That looks to me like a solar eclipse, and there are not that many in the middle east, once every 20 or 40 years or so, and this one needs to be from the west to the east (covering the whole ancient world) as it is written:

Luk 17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one [part] under heaven, shineth unto the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

But all this, of course, is academical and time will tell who will be right in this matter.....
