I think music is one of lifes most beautiful inspirations...anyone else have a favorite song to share?

This is one of my favs...

I'd Rather Have Jesus

I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
I'd rather be His than have riches untold:
I'd rather have Jesus than houses or lands.
I'd rather be led by His nail-pierced hand.

Than to be the king of a vast domain
Or be held in sin's dread sway.
I'd rather have Jesus tan anything
This world affords today.

I'd rather have Jesus than men's applause;
I rather be faithful to His dear cause;
Id rather have Jesus than worldwide fame.
I'd rather be true to His holy name.

Than to be the king of a vast domain
Or be held in sin's dread sway.
I'd rather have Jesus tan anything
This world affords today.

He's fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;
He's sweeter than honey from out the comb;
He's all than my hungering spirit needs.
I'd rather hav Jesus and let Him lead.

Than to be the king of a vast domain
Or be held in sin's dread sway.
I'd rather have Jesus tan anything
This world affords today.

I Bowed On My Knees And Cried, "Holy"

I dreamed of a city called Glory,
So bright and so fair.
When I entered that gate I cried, "Holy"
The angels all met me there:
They carried me from mansion to mansion,
And oh what sites I saw.
But I said, "I want to see Jesus,
He's the One who died for all."

Then I bowed on my knees and cried,
"Holy, Holy, Holy."
Then I clapped my hands and sang, "Glory,
Glory to the Son of God."
Then I bowed on my knees and cried,
"Holy, Holy, Holy."
Then I clapped my hands and sang, "Glory,
Glory to the Son of God."

I thought as I entered that city,
My friends all knew me well.
They showed me the streets of Heaven;
Such scenes too numerous to tell;
I saw Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
Mark, Luke and Timothy.
But I said, "I want to see Jesus,
He's the One who died for me."

Here are 2 Songs that speak to me...

COME TO THE FATHER..

Before the world began
you where on his mind
and every tear you cried
is precious in HIS eyes
because of His great love
He gave his only son
and everything was done so you would come

Nothing you can do
could make him love you more
Nothing that you've done
could make him close the door
Because of his great love
He gave his only son
and everything was done so you would come

Come to the Father
thou your gift is small
Broken hearts and broken lives
He will take them all
The power of HIS love
the power of HIS blood
everything was done so you would come.

ABOVE ALL

Above all powers
Above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You where here before the world began

Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever know
Above all weatlh and treasures of the earth
theres no way to measure what your worth

Cruicified... laid behind the stone
You lived to die
rejected and alone
like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me
Above all...

(Everytime i face a difficuilt sitiuation i think of this song and remember that no matter what i am facing, GOD is above all things)

The Blood Is Still There

by Gary Duty

One dark night down in Egypt,
a fearful time had come,
for one little Hebrew boy,
who was his father's first born son.

Now with the angel of death passing low,
it was hard to fall asleep.
But one little lamb stood in his mind,
as he laid there counting sheep.

He wondered why the young lamb had to die,
why his blood was on the door.
Through the wind and rain it had still remained.
But he wanted to be sure.

So he called out to his earthly Father,
with a trembling voice so scared.
Crying "Father will you please look and see,
if the blood is still there?"

He said, son now don't you worry,
for the blood is there to stay.
The winds may blow and the rain may fall,
but it just won't wash away.

The blood will stand the raging storm,
Its been applied with loving care.
Safe, secure, you can rest assured,
that the blood is still there.

Looking over all the damage,
Satan's storm had left behind.
The flood of endless questions,
and doubts had filled my mind.

The fear that gripped my troubled soul,
brought me back to my knees in prayer.
Crying "Father will you please look and see,
if the blood is still there?"

He said, son now don't you worry,
for the blood is there to stay.
The winds may blow and the rain may fall,
but it just won't wash away.

The blood will stand the raging storm,
Its been applied with loving care.
Safe, secure, you can rest assured,
that the blood is still there.

Safe, secure, you can rest assured,
that the blood is still there.

This is one of my all time favorite songs. Thank you Jesus for the blood that can never be washed away by the trials of life!!

Greetings Everyone,
I have many favorite hymns that I like to bellow out. I may not be able to sing very well, but I can make a joyful noise with the best of 'em!

I am not certain which is my all time favorite, but if the most touching is a clue, there is one I just cannot get through even to this day. It may have been the first one I learned. I don't know.

Jesus loves me! this I know,
For the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to Him belong.
They are week, but He is strong.

Chorus:
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! He who died
Heaven's gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin,
Let His little child come in,

Chorus:
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! He will stay
Close beside me all the way;
He's prepared a home for me,
And some day His face I'll see.

Chours:
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.
                by Anna B. Warner

It is a simple Hymn. Perhaps, I am just a simple man, because I can't even write it without emotion.

God bless,

I like that John,  perhaps I`m just simple too  Cheesy

Here`s a song that I have never been able to sing without tears...

I will serve thee.
Because I love thee.
You have given life to me.
I was nothing before you found me.
You have given life to me.

Heartaches, and broken pieces.
Ruined lives are why you died on Calvary.
Your touch, is what I long for.
You have given life to me.

I`m enjoying  all the songs, even tho I dont know the music, what beautiful lyrics!

I wish you all could hear my son sing and play this...what touching music!

I CANT EVEN WALK

I THOUGHT THAT  #1 WOULD SURELY  BE ME

I THOUGHT I  WOULD BE  WHAT I WANTED  TO BE

I THOUGHT  I WOULD BUILD  ON LIFES SINKING  SAND

BUT  I CANT EVEN  WALK

WITHOUT YOU  HOLDING MY HAND

I THOUGHT  THAT I COULD DO  A LOT  ON MY OWN

I THOUGHT I  COULD MAKE IT  ALL ALONE

I THOUGHT OF  MYSELF  AS A MIGHTY  BIG MAN

BUT  I CANT EVEN  WALK

WITHOUT YOU  HOLDING  MY HAND.

CHORUS :

LORD  I CANT EVEN  WALK

WITHOUT YOU HOLDING  MY HAND

THE MOUNTAINS  TOO HIGH  THE VALLEYS  TOO WIDE

DOWN ON  MY KNEES  I LEARNED  TO STAND

BECAUSE  I CANT EVEN  WALK

WITHOUT YOU HOLDING  MY HAND

I THINK THAT  I`LL MAKE  JESUS  MY ALL

FROM NOW ON  WHEN I`M  IN TROUBLE

ON HIM  I`LL CALL

IF  I  DONT TRUST HIM

I`D BE LESS  THAN  A MAN

BECAUSE  I CANT EVEN  WALK

WITHOUT YOU  HOLDING  MY HAND

If That Isn't Love

He left the splendor of heaven,
Knowing His destiny,
Was the lonely hill of Golgatha,
There to lay down His life for me.

Chorus
If that isn't love;
The ocean is dry,
There's no stars in the sky,
And the sparrow can't fly.
If that isn't love;
Then heaven's a myth,
There's no feeling like this,
If that isn't love!
Even in death He remembered,
The thief hanging by His side;
There He spoke with love and compassion,
Then He took him to paradise.

Chorus
If that isn't love;
The ocean is dry,
There's no stars in the sky,
And the sparrow can't fly.
If that isn't love;
Then heaven's a myth,
There's no feeling like this,
If that isn't love!

This is just a part of the song "Prince of Peace":

You're the Lord of Lords,
You're the King of Kings,
You're the Mighty God,
Lord of everything.
You're Emmanuel,
You're the great I Am,
You're the Prince of Peace,
Who is the Lamb.
You're the living God,
You're my saving grace,
You will reign forever,
You're the ancient of days.
You are Alpha, Omega,
Beginning and End,
You're my Savior,
Messiah, Redeemer, and friend.
You're my Prince of Peace, and I will live my life for You.

I absolutely love that song. Gotta be one of my favorites.

How Long Has It Been?

How long has it been, since you talked to the Lord,
And told Him your heart's hidden secrets?
How long since you prayed,
How long since you stayed,
On your knees 'til the light shone through?

How long has it been since your mind felt at ease,
How long since your heart knew no burden?
Can you call Him your friend,
How long has it been,
Since you knew that He cared for you?

How long has it been since you knelt by your bed,
And prayed to the Lord up in Heaven?
How long since you knew,
That He'd answer you,
And would keep you the long night through?

How long has it been since you woke with the dawn,
And felt that the day's worth the living?
Can you call Him your friend,
How long has it been,
Since you knew that He cared for you?

How long has it been since you talked with the Lord,
And told Him your heart's hidden secrets?
How long since you prayed,
How long since you stayed,
On your knees 'til the light shone through?

How long has it been since you woke with the dawn,
And felt that the days' worth the living?
Can you call Him your friend?
How long has it been,
Since you knew that He cared for you?

This is one of my ALL time favorite songs,,

The Lighthouse

There's a Light House on the hill side that overlooks life's sea,
And when I'm tossed it sends a light that I might clearly see,
And the light that shines in darkness will safely lead me home,
If it wasn't for the Light House, my ship would be no more.

I thank God for the Light House, I owe my life to Him,
For Jesus is the Light House, and from the rocks of sin,
He has shone His light around me that I might clearly see.
If it wasn't for the Light House, tell me where would this ship be?

Every body that lives around us, says tear that old Light House down.
The big ships don't sail this way anymore,
There's no need of it standing 'round,
Then my mind goes back to that stormy night,
When just in time I saw the light,
The light from that old Light House standing up there on the hill.

I thank God for the Light House, I owe my life to Him,
For Jesus is the Light House, and from the rocks of sin,
He has shone His light around me that I might clearly see.
If it wasn't for the Light House, tell me where would this ship be?

If it wasn't for the Light House, tell me where would this ship be.

Sometimes He Calms the Storm

All who sail the sea of faith
find out before too long
how quickly blue skies can grow dark
and gentle winds blow strong.
Suddenly fear is like white water
pounding on the soul.
Still we sail on knowing
that our Lord is is control.
Sometimes He calms the storm
with a whispered "Peace be still."
He can settle any sea,
but it doesn't mean He will.
Sometimes He holds us close
and lets the wind and waves go wild.
Sometimes He calms the storm,
and other times He calms His child.
He has a reason for each trial
that we pass through in life.
And though we're shaken
we cannot be pulled apart from Christ.
No matter how the driving rain beats down
on those who hold to faith,
a heart of trust will always
be a quiet peaceful place.
Sometimes He calms the storm
with a whispered "Peace be still."
He can settle any sea,
but it doesn't mean He will.
Sometimes He holds us close
and lets the wind and waves go wild.
Sometimes He calms the storm,
and other times He calms His child.
