Read this and be encouraged.
Pastor Townsend was my Pastor in the US for 7 years. I left his church to go to do  humanitarian relief work in Russia. I want to share with you what he told me God did for him.
Before he accepted Jesus as His savior, he used to drink, take drugs, cheat on his wife and beat his wife. He didn’t want to do bad things, but he didn’t know how to stop.
His barber has invited him to church, and Sam Townsend came to church for the first time at the age of 23. One lady has asked him if he wants to come up to the altar for prayer. He agreed. He repented for his sins and was really touched by God. He became a new person and was delivered right away from his bad habits by the power of God. He wanted to go home and ask his wife for forgiveness, because he really mistreated her. But when he came home, she threw his suit case out with all his things in it. He cried and told her about his salvation through the door. She did let him come in the house.
After he got saved his Catholic wife was real mad. She wouldn’t let him take his son to church and they had many verbal fights. Pastor Townsend began to pray instead of arguing with his wife. One day his wife has followed him to church and then his wife got saved. I’m glad he didn’t give up on God when he had marriage trouble. If you have problems to day, ask Jesus to help you.
Please, share your testimony.

Your pastor has a great testimony.  It sounds similiar to my pastor redemption, except my pastor didn't abuse his wife - he was "just" a drunk....

As for my own testimony, it is long and too boring - but I am saved.  Praise the Lord!

Blessings-

Sister Terri,

Testimonies are never too boring. If you have the time I would appreciate your sharing it with me.

OK PR you asked for it!  Smiley

I remember being saved when I was 12 years old.  I was baptized into a baptist church.  My new found christianity was never nurtured or encouraged so natually I strayed.  I was a "typical" teenager: I defied my mother, I did drugs, I had sex and partied every chance I had.  I married at 17, divorced at 18.  I never went to college but somehow always managed to have a good job.  When I was 20 I met the love of my life and married him when I was 21.  He was not a christian so I didn't have a godly man to lead me back to God.  We had a good life - materially speaking we were wealtlhy, but our relationship grew farther and farther apart as time went by.  Two months before our 15th wedding anniversary, he asked for a divorce.  I begged and pleaded with him but he was persistant.  The pain this caused me was more than emotional.  It was mental, and physical.  I wanted to die.  Just thinking about it to this day I will cry.

I soon began to drink heavily.  I was a full blown drunk before the first year was up.  Miraculously I always maintained a job even though I worried about my finances.  I had very little material things - a far cry from my life before.

One night I had a dream that I was atop a very tall, rickety ladder.  I was naked and hungry.  I could see significant men in my life, down far below on the ground.  Each one told me that they couldn't help me down.  Suddenly a bunch of faceless angels came to my side - I knew they were women, even though I couldn't see their faces.  The angels gave me clothing and food.  They repaired the rungs on the ladder so I could make a slow journey down. . .  I finally made it back to my feet.

Now the reason I tell you about this dream is because about a year afterwards, I was working in a real estate office making very little money.  My house was unfurnished and I struggled to make ends meet.  The group of women that I worked with banned together and collected everything I needed!  They furnished my house, even providing linens, pots and pans, and knick-knacks.  One of the ladies gifted me with $200.00 so I could buy food.  I realized that day that my dream had come true!  These ladies were the faceless angels in my dream!  I had seen the hand of God!  I had landed on my feet!

Then I got very very sick.  So sick I was told that I wouldn't make it. . . . My aorta had ulcerated, I had blood clots in both legs - one of which was about 4 feet long.  The vascular surgeons told me that if they didn't amputate my leg, I would surely die.  I was dilerious from pain and I was drugged on narcotics . . . I couldn't think or speak for myself.  Then while I was still in intensive care, I had a dream.  I didn't think it was a dream at the time because it was so real . . . in fact I am hard pressed even now to believe is was "only" a dream because one night a man I'd never seen before came to my bed and asked me if he could pray for me.  I don't remember answering, but the man took my hand and bowed his head in prayer.  After what seemed an eternity, the man got up and left my room.  The next morning I was still confused about whether or not I'd had that dream and I asked the night nurse who the man was that came to my room.  She said that NO ONE had been in my room, that only family was allowed in and it was way past visiting hours. . .  Well, the only thing I know for sure is that the surgeons were able to save most of one leg and all of the other one.  I was out of intensive care in 3 weeks and out of rehab in another two.  I will always believe that the "stranger" was an angel.

So I found Jesus in Intensive Care.  He's my Rock, my Salvation, my Friend and Brother.  I can't imagine life without Him.  I believe with all my heart that God speaks to me . . He whispers in my ear at night when I'm sleeping!

Blessings -

Amen Sister, He is all that and so very much more. A testimony that warms my heart.

I am glad that the Angel came to you and you responded.
