Jesus, remember me... Luke 23:42

Remember how the liberal left screamed foul when Al Gore lost in the Electoral College in the U.S. presidential race in 2000?  The liberal chant from porn belt to porn belt (coast to coast) was “This is a democracy!  Gore received more votes so Gore should be President!”  There was (and still is) demands for a constitutional amendment to dump the Electoral College in favor of a majority vote.

But, my, how the tune changes when the subject is homosexual marriage, or public prayer, or illegal immigration, or euthanasia, or abortion, or conservative free speech, or racial preferences, or hate crimes legislation, or gun control, or animal rights, or the Ten Commandments, or a Cross on public land.  Suddenly the wishes of the democratic majority are labeled “socially unacceptable” and “ignorant”.

By and large, liberals are spewing ‘democracy rules’ while giving an open checkbook to the ACLU to squash any majority ruling that is contrary to their elite “world-thought”.  Keep in mind that to the radical left, GOD is just an acronym for Great Oppressive Dictator.  The ACLU is the left’s tool to control the majority who overwhelmingly revere God.

The ACLU exists for one purpose and one purpose only; to oppress the majority.  Not even an ACLU lawyer could rightly and successfully argue against this point.  The ACLU is ‘darkness’ and is completely ignorant about the ‘light’ of Jesus Christ.
John 1:5
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

To liberals and the ACLU the “10 commandments” is just as much an antiquated rag as the original American Constitution – which they are in the process of redefining in a “progressive” format through the use of lawyers and judges.  This ‘progressive’ format is one which mutes the wishes of the majority, and the majority, taking their cue, is standing silently by.

The ACLU is the ‘world’.  Simply ignoring Christ is not sufficient for them.  Because of the truths our Lord delivers, they passionately hate Him and wish to completely drive Him from society.
John 7:7
The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

Do the liberals and the ACLU actually believe in civil liberties?  I think not.  In fact they abhor civil liberties – for real liberty includes the right of the majority to publicly proclaim the Truth.

Yours in Christ,

The ACLU is trying to get a decision that they pushed through courts to be revearsed because that decision now supports a Christian youth group. A definite show of their two faced anti-Christian bias.

Pastor Roger,

Grin  That's funny, the devil tripped over his own feet. I love it when that happens.

The ACLU should, at least be made to use their true name, Anti Christian Liberties Union.

Islamic and Jewish religious symbols are posted in the United States Supreme Court Building. You don't hear of any Christians asking for them to be taken down, now do you? The Bible and the 10 Commandments are Jewish documents as well as Christian documents.

To the right of visitors is a procession of historical lawgivers of the pre-Christian era: Menes, Hammurabi, Moses, Solomon, Lycurgus, Solon, Draco, Confucius and Augustus. They are flanked by figures symbolizing Fame and History.

To the left are historical lawyers of the Christian era: Napoleon, John Marshall, William Blackstone, Hugo Grotius, Saint Louis, King John, Charlemagne, Mohammed and Justinian. Figures representing Liberty and Peace and Philosophy appear at either end.

Also, the Constitution says that "Congress shall make no law...". Putting up religious symbols is not Congress making a law. The government putting up religious symbols is also not forcing a religion on anyone.

Like it or not, the United States of America was founded by gentlemen who had a deep faith in the Christian God and they formed our country based on that faith. However, they set up the laws of the Country so as not to force people to believe in their Christian faith, but let them worship (or not worship) as they so chose to do. This was done, because these men started the Revolution and founded this nation in order to get away from Religious persecution in England. There, they were forced to be a part of the national religion.

Public symbols of Christianity and government sponsoring of the Boy Scouts does not represent the government forcing anyone to follow a specific religion. That is the meaning of the 1st Amendment, not this so-called "separation of church and state" nonsense that people have started using ever since Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black threw it into the Everson vs. Board of Education decision.

Resting in the lords arms.

Till now! I think we should all write the ACLU and ask them to "fight for our liberty" and take those things down Grin

This is just a prelude to what the ACLU wants to do with Arlington National:

ACLU Wants Cross Removed From Cemetery

Man Vows To Keep Cross On Plot

Editor's Note: We all know how the ACLU just despises anything Christian, but now they are going way over the line. Are your family’s plots next?

ELK TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A cross monument in a Vinton County cemetery has some local residents fighting to keep it there, NBC 4's Mike Bowersock reported.
A representative from the American Civil Liberties Union told Elk Township the cross must leave the government-owned cemetery.
The monument was added to Elk Cemetery in 2004, after being in storage for eight years.
Some people said the large cross monument is promoting religion.
In 1996, the ACLU forced the county to remove the cross from the McArthur courthouse, where it sat for almost 40 years, Bowersock reported.
ACLU Legislative Director Gary Daniels reportedly said the issue is under investigation.
"I don't understand why he's picking on this cross in this county," said Elk Township trustee Mickey McDonald.
Aside from the cross monument, there are variety of religious symbols in the cemetery, including multiple crosses and a Star of David.
An argument could be made the cemetery plots are private property, Bowersock reported.
The plot the cross is on was donated to the late Cy Karns, who helped put it there.
Karns' son Steve vowed to keep the cross in the cemetery.
"We'll move it down there and make it bigger than it is now," Karns said.
