Sister Pat,

YES! I've listened to "Just Over in the Glory Land" just in the last couple of days. I've been down almost completely with the flu or some sort of bug, so that was a good excuse to tune into one of my favorite Internet Radio Stations, "All Quartets". I may not be remembering correctly, but wasn't it the Sunshine Boys that made "Just Over in the Glory Land" almost an all-time favorite for Quartets?

Sister Pat, the songs that you have been posting are beautiful, and so are the words. I really enjoy them and thank you sincerely.

Love In Christ,
Tom

HEY, Get back to bed!  Orders from Mamma here!  The folks on CP are also praying for you, Tom.

I'm glad you've been enjoying these.  I don't know who first sang that one, Tom but I sure love it.

Jesus I Come
(Click to hear music)

Colossians 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness,
and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Author:  William T. Sleeper, 1819-1904
Musician:  George C. Stebbings, 1846-1945

Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into Thy freedom, gladness, and light,
Jesus, I come to Thee;
Out of my sickness, into Thy health,
Out of my want and into Thy wealth,
Out of my sin and into Thyself,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of my shameful failure and loss,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into the glorious gain of Thy cross,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of earth?s sorrows into Thy balm,
Out of life?s storms and into Thy calm,
Out of distress to jubilant psalm,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of unrest and arrogant pride,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into Thy blessed will to abide,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of myself to dwell in Thy love,
Out of despair into raptures above,
Upward for aye on wings like a dove,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of the fear and dread of the tomb,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into the joy and light of Thy throne,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of the depths of ruin untold,
Into the peace of Thy sheltering fold,
Ever Thy glorious face to behold,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

Sister Pat,

Thanks for the prayers. I'm hoping that I may be half way through with this now. I'm sick of the bed, but I promise I'll get back in.   Cheesy

By the way, I loved "Jesus I Come". That's a beautiful piano arrangement.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Glad you're feeling a bit better but take it easy.

Here's an oldie...

MASTER, THE TEMPEST IS RAGING[/u]
(Click to hear music)

Master, the tempest is raging!
The billows are tossing high!
The sky is o'ershadowed with blackness,
No shelter or help is nigh;
Carest Thou not that we perish?
How canst Thou lie asleep,
When each moment so madly is threatening
A grave in the angry deep?

Refrain
The winds and the waves obey Thy will,
Peace, be still!
Whether the wrath of the storm tossed sea,
Or demons or men, or whatever it be
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean, and earth, and skies;
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, be still! Peace, be still!
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, peace, be still!

Master, with anguish of spirit
I bow in my grief today;
The depths of my sad heart are troubled
Oh, waken and save, I pray!
Torrents of sin and of anguish
Sweep o'er my sinking soul;
And I perish! I perish! dear Master
Oh, hasten, and take control.

Refrain

Master, the terror is over,
The elements sweetly rest;
Earth's sun in the calm lake is mirrored,
And heaven's within my breast;
Linger, O blessed Redeemer!
Leave me alone no more;
And with joy I shall make the blest harbor,
And rest on the blissful shore.

Refrain

Oh, The Glory of Thy Presence

Words and Music by Steven L. Fry

Oh the glory of Your presence
We Your temple give You reverence
So arise to Your rest
And be blessed by our praise
As we glory in Your embrace
As your presence
Now fills this place

Rose of Sharon
(Click to hear music)

Words and music by Alfred B. Smith and John Peterson

"I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys."
Solomon 2:1

There's a Beautiful Rose ever blooming,
In the Garden of God's Love for me;
It has filled all the world with it's fragrance,
It will last for eternity.

Chorus
Rose of Sharon now blooming I see,
Blessed Jesus, who died on the tree;
With my whole heart I sing "Hallelujah!"
Rose of Sharon, so precious to me.

Precious Savior, I'll always adore Thee,
For with Thee no one else can compare;
By Thy Love so divine, I'm enraptured,
Thou are fairer than all of the fair.

Chorus
Rose of Sharon now blooming I see,
Blessed Jesus, who died on the tree;
With my whole heart I sing "Hallelujah!"
Rose of Sharon, so precious to me.

Are you lost in your sins ~ tired of living?
Is your heart filled with bitterness, too?
Come to Jesus, the sweet Rose of Sharon,
He has the power to make you anew.

Chorus
Rose of Sharon now blooming I see,
Blessed Jesus, who died on the tree;
With my whole heart I sing "Hallelujah!"
Rose of Sharon, so precious to me
.

Wounded For Me
(Click to hear music)

Author:  W.G. Ovens, Vs. 1
Gladys Watkins Roberts, Vs. 2,3,4,5
Musician:  W.G. Ovens

But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5

Wounded for me, wounded for me,
There on the cross He was wounded for me;
Gone my transgressions, and now I am free,
All because Jesus was wounded for me.

Dying for me, dying for me,
There on the cross He was dying for me;
Now in His death my redemption I see,
All because Jesus was dying for me.

Risen for me, risen for me,
Up from the grave He has risen for me;
Now evermore from death?s sting I am free,
All because Jesus has risen for me.

Living for me, living for me,
Up in the skies He is living for me;
Daily He?s pleading and praying for me,
All because Jesus is living for me.

Coming for me, coming for me,
One day to earth He is coming for me;
Then with what joy His dear face I shall see,
O how I praise Him?He?s coming for me!

More Love to Thee
(Click to hear music)

Author:  Elizabeth P. Prentiss, 1818-1878
Musician:  William H. Doane, 1832-1915

More love to Thee, O Christ,
More love to Thee!
Hear Thou the prayer I make
On bended knee;
This is my earnest plea:

Refrain:
More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee,
More love to Thee!

Once earthly joy I craved,
Sought peace and rest;
Now Thee alone I seek,
Give what is best;
This all my prayer shall be:

Let sorrow do its work,
Send grief and pain;
Sweet are Thy messengers,
Sweet their refrain,
When they can sing with me:

Then shall my latest breath
Whisper Thy praise;
This be the parting cry
My heart shall raise;
This still its prayer shall be:

Patzt, would you by chance have, "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"?

I know it's not a song of worship, (least in some churches) but I love that song.

Thanks,
Bob

I do, Bob!  Here it is, especially for you!

BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC
(Click to hear music)

He will thunder from His holy dwelling and roar mightily against His land.
He will shout like those who tread the grapes,
shout against all who live on earth.
Jeremiah 25:30

Julia W. Howe (1819-1910)
Words: Julia W. Howe, 1861

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

I have seen Him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camps
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps;
His day is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His day is marching on.

I have read a fiery Gospel writ in burnished rows of steel;
“As ye deal with My contemners, so with you My grace shall deal”;
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with His heel,
Since God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Since God is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet;
Our God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free;
[originally …let us die to make men free]
While God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! While God is marching on.

He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
He is wisdom to the mighty, He is honor to the brave;
So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of wrong His slave,
Our God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Our God is marching on.

Pat,

Sister, again I offer my thanks for some beautiful music. The piano arrangement for Battle Hymn of the Republic was beautiful.

I still haven't figured out how to listen to ".mp3" and ".mpga" automatically, but I can download them and play them later. Maybe I still don't have something set right in the Firefox plug-ins. Regardless, I download them to my music directory and can still listen to them.

Maybe a Firefox guru can tell me what I'm doing wrong. Brother Bob, have you figured this out yet?

I'm glad you are enjoying them, Tom.  I haven't used many mpga or mp3 files.  Most in here are midis so that's good for you.

When the box pops up, asking you to open with, midi, mpg, mp, mpga, I just open them with windows media player. Later I go back and save to disk. I don't know about mp3 files, as I have never come across them. Sad

Hope this helps you out Tom.

Resting in the Lords arms.
