Why Does the ACLU Hate Christianity?

Do you know the history of the ACLU?  Are you aware that the ACLU is, in fact, founded on communism?  ACLU founder Roger Baldwin was a committed communist.  Of course, communism and religion are like oil and water – they do not mix.  For communism to have a chance to work, the ‘collective’ must be the only ‘god’ – Truth is forbidden.

If someone tells you that the ACLU is "only" attempting to separate 'church and state' and is not intent on ridding Christ from the very fabric of our society - that someone is either ignorant or a liar (or an ignorant liar...)

Despite the ACLU’s efforts to paint themselves as the “nation’s guardians of liberty,” their history points to a group bent on the destruction of freedom, Christianity, and America itself. Tom Krannawitter of the Claremont Institute argues that “a powerful faction within the ACLU has been determined to remake America along ‘progressive,’ if not communist lines.”

From its inception, the ACLU has worked to create a new America. To do so, the ACLU found it necessary to achieve two main things: first, the abolishment of Constitutional barriers to governmental power and second, the enervation of man’s soul to make him weak and dependent on government. Both of which move America towards a progressive state and, according to Dr. Krannawitter, are advanced by “removing God from the American mind.”

As the ACLU continues its assault on Christianity and limited government, every conservative must understand what is at stake: our liberty and freedom.

Brother Jim, that article was very informative. No, I did not know about the roots of the ACLU.

It does appear that the ACLU has almost unlimited money and resources to destroy the foundation of America. It appears that they have a consistent history of picking targets with limited funds and resources to fight back. Thankfully, this is slowly beginning to change with more and more Americans trying to provide financial support and other resources to start winning many battles against the ACLU. I've also read about many lawyers who are working free or at greatly reduced rates in some really important battles against the ACLU.

The ACLU is still the biggest and best financed bully on the block, but they are starting to LOSE.

My disdain for the ACLU’s war against the Word is very strong.  I believe it is very important that America understands exactly who and what the ACLU is.  I will not stand mutely by - I will continue to report the "movements of the enemy" to CU and others.

While it is against man's law for political wars to be fought from the pulpit in a church building, there are no such restrictions on ChristiansUnite or similar branches of Christ's Army.  The Lord has armed us with the Power of His Word.  The ACLU cannot stand up against it.  We cannot let people remain igonorant about this.  They must be made aware of the true agenda so they may take prayerful action.

Darkness hates the light, because it exposes.   The problem for the ACLU is, our light is inextinguishable and it vexes them terribly.

Appeals court rules ‘In God We Trust’ constitutional

WASHINGTON (BP)--A federal appeals court has ruled that the phrase “In God We Trust” on a government building does not violate the separation of church and state.

The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, based in Richmond, Va., ruled May 13 the national motto may remain on the facade of a county government building in Lexington, N.C. A three-judge panel of the court stated that the phrase does not violate the First Amendment prohibition on government establishment of religion.

Two Lexington lawyers brought suit against Davidson County for its inclusion of the phrase on the new building, but a federal judge ruled last year the inscription did not fail the Lemon test, the standard by which establishment clause cases have been judged for more than three decades. The Fourth Circuit panel agreed.

“[E]ven accepting the allegations of the complaint as true, the display does not contravene any of the three prongs of the Lemon test,” Judge Robert King wrote for the panel. The Fourth Circuit has “heretofore characterized the phrase, ‘In God We Trust,’ when used as the national motto on coins and currency, as a ‘patriotic and ceremonial motto’ with ‘no theological or ritualistic impact.’ The use of the challenged phrase as the national motto is long-standing, and it has been used extensively over the years by the federal government.”

The phrase is used on coins and currency, and it also appears in both houses of Congress, King wrote. Congress established “In God We Trust” as the national motto in 1956, according to the opinion.

The Lemon test, which was outlined in the Supreme Court’s 1971 Lemon v. Kurtzman decision, says government does not establish religion if its action has a secular purpose, does not promote or inhibit religion and does not entangle government excessively with religion.

The Supreme Court is expected to rule by July in two establishment clause cases about displays of the Ten Commandments on government property. The cases involve a stand-alone monument on the state capitol grounds in Austin and the inclusion of the Ten Commandments in a display of historical documents in two Kentucky county courthouses. The high court heard oral arguments in the cases in early March.

Last year, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of inclusion of the phrase “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance but did so on a technicality. The justices decided a father did not have legal standing to bring suit against a California school district on behalf of a daughter of whom he did not have custody.
