The church at Rome? The churches in other locals other than Jerusalem? Or the church in Jerusalem? Which was the first congregation of God's people in Christ? The answer is obviously Jerusalem. With that scripturely established. How can other local churches claim primacy or as being the first church, assembly, or congregation of God.? Title: Re:Which Came First? I'm imagining that such became churches probably simultaneously. It would be like asking which McDonalds started serving the new McChicken samwhich first. But obviuosy, since Jesus crucificed in Jerusalem, wouldn't that be the first church there--in the Upper Room, with the ll disciples? Title: Re:Which Came First? Jerusalem was definitely my answer. Luke puts it all together for us. I love to read the Gospel of Luke and go right into the Book of Acts. For any newbies to the bible; Acts is Luke’s “continuation of the *Greatest Historical Writing of Mankind”. (* My opinion.) Although - Luke wrote Acts first, correct? Title: Re:Which Came First?
