Welcome / Questions, help, suggestions, and bug reports / Petition to change laws on pedophiles
|

Hi Everyone, Hopefully I am remember here by some. It's been awhile since I've posted here. I am on a mission to help a friend get as many signatures as she can to change the laws on pedophiles. As the law is at this time, the pedophiles have more rights than the children they violate. This needs to change. And the children are to young to make the change. So it's up to you and I to change the laws to keep our kids safe. Please read the petition and sign it and pass it on to everyone you know. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!! Matt 19:14 But Jesus said, " Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." No Parole For Sex Crimes" hosted on the web by our free online petition service, at: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/NoParole/Thank you. Terri

HI Driven by Him,
That is sooooo wonderful that you were saved by reading this book. My mom was also saved by reading this book. I bought her a copy and told her to keep it and someday she would read it. At the time she wasn't open to hearing about God and the Christian way. But something told me, this book would open her heart. And I was really shocked she starting reading the book that day, she said she couldn't put it down. She was so taken by what Rick Warren had to say. It was only a matter of months and she found a church family, became baptized, and her life has changes soooooo much because of this book. She is now reading the Bible. My mom is 55 years old and was very set in her ways, but this book softened her harden heart. And I praise God for using Rick Warren as a vessel to reach souls!!!!!! I can now rejoice, and have confidence that I will see my mom is heaven in the end!!!!
God has truely blessed Rick Warren with the right words. Words that speak directly to your heart!!!!!!! Rick Warren will absolutely be rewarded in heaven for this wonderful book and for the many people he has brought to christ because of this book.
Your co-worker did a wonderful thing for you. Now you can be a vessel yourself and help change someone elses life. Buy a book or lend your book to someone who needs Christ in their life. I agree with you this book needs to be read and reread. That is why I just buy books for others and keep mine close at hand.
Thanks for sharing that with everyone, and God Bless you on your Christian journey!!!!!!! May he always be your strenght, and your rock!!!!!!!! Christian Love, Terri

Hi Moira3,
It is a really great book!!!!!! My mom who is a believer but not a doer is finially seeking a church to call her own. And it is because she is reading this book and it has touched her heart and showed her she needs to be doing more for Christ. I am just amazed at how this book is changing my mom.
I think your church will enjoy the study. Thanks for your post. God Bless you Terri

Hi Holeinmysoul, and Sincereheart,
It's nice to see others reading this book and really enjoying it.
I belong to a book club on line. We have 12 people from all over reading this book and answering the questions at the end of each chapter. This week we are working on Chapter 7 question. If you are interested in joining our book club IM me and I will send you my email address and I would need yours to add you to the club. Every Monday we answer the next chapter question. It nice to read others responses.
It's amazing what this book is doing in my mom's life. She was a carnel believer all her life, and this book is helping her see how important God is and having a relationship with him is.
Thanks for responding. I really think if more would read this book it could have a wonderful effect on the world!!!!!! Christian Love, Terri

I would have to say I am very grateful. It's show me how much our God loves us. To send his only son to die for our sins.
Also shows me what a great servant Jesus was to God. Jesus knew he was going to die, and he obeyed Gods will. He also prayed for the people as they were killing him. What awesome love!!!!!!
We could never find that kind of love here on earth. Only God is able to love us that much. We as Christians can let our love for God and our light that he gives us shine. We can obey his commandments, and do our best not to sin. Since our sin is the reason Jesus died.
God Bless you all Terri

Hi Symphony,
Thanks for the Irishangels website, I didn't get a chance to check it out yet but I will. Anything that is peaceful and relaxing is always helpful...... Thanks
Hi BEP, Thanks for your prayers!!!!!!! I know they are helping.
Hi Tibby,
Thanks for that info. I am not sure what SCA is could you explain that to me? I do agree with you he needs to see this as a problem and help himself, if its not in his heart than he will just replace it with another addiction.
Hi LanceA,
That is great that you broke free from this addiction, and that you are back honoring the Lord and reading the Bible.
When you were addicted to that game, what response from friends and loved ones did you need or want? My husband just gets upset when I even try to talk about this. He doesn't want to ear anything I have to say. I really feel he doesn't care what I feel or say about this.
What was the breaking point for you that made you change your ways? Was it seeing what it was doing to your friends. Or did something happen to you?
I would love to get the computer out of our life, but I know that would really make him mad to the point it would cause more problems, so I think I will try to give him space and just continue praying. I know this is something he needs to change, I can't change it for him. I just hope it doesn't take him losing his job over it.
Hi Psalm 119,
Thanks, I will do my best to continue with my beliefs and reading the Bible and listeing to family life radio station. I will also continue taking my kids to church and hopefully they don't slip into this addiction down the road. I know my son is interested in what dad is doing on the computer and has played it a few times, and I hate that.
It does feel hopeless at times, I think that is the hardest thing to deal with is not knowing when this will end. Also that fact that this game is more important than spending time with me and the kids. I must be really boring, that he needs to consume his time with this game? These are thoughts that enter my mind also.
Someone talked about counceling. We have not had counceling. My husband is not willing to do the counceling. I will seek help from my church and pastor. So far I have not said anything, because I am ashamed. But I think that is something I might need to do.
Psalm119, I will IM you I would like to talk more with you. But for tonight I am going to end this.
Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!! Terri
